Not bad, you avoided the trope of RPGMaker games feeling a too long-winded for game jams. Good job!

While the opening does explain how it fits the theme, I think it could have been incorporated better by maybe showing a tournament ladder after each fight.

Additionally, it didn't seem like the shop served much purpose (though for some strategies maybe it does).

Congratulations on finishing the jam!

Good game overall. You ended up using only the randomness of a dice roll but it ended up being a nice game. I only got enemies that were weak to magic so I don't know if there are any other types of enemies

The game crashed when i talked to the guard before i talked to the other guy.

Although it felt a bit disconnected from the theme I still had fun playing!

Good job!

(p.s, I would appreciate it if you could try out my game, its really short so it would take only a moment to try it out, Thanks!)

Seems like you put a lot of effort in. It looks very polished. I'm not an RPG guy so I think it's value is lost on me, but props on your work!

I enjoyed the game! I love RPGs. But it would've been great if there had been a clearer way to see the random factor of the challengers. Great job!

A fun and short RPG game, ended up using spark on all the enemies. Congrats on finishing the jam !

I really liked the graphics in this, and the RPG elements worked really smoothly. It suffered a bit from the limited scope dictated by the jam though (making an RPG in a 48 hour jam is quite the undertaking!). I suspect you also ran out of time to implement things, given that there's an equipment menu but nothing to equip!
