How does your game fit the theme?
The game is based upon dice falling down on Orcs to kill them and also uses their number and a tetris-inspired mechanic to make dice that fall on the grid stack and disappear when matched with another die of the same number

I'm not 100% sure what was going on, but that is just because I'm stupid. I feel it goes too fast for it to be a puzzle game. It should be slower so that I can actually think. Especially since the game isn't as easy to understand as Tetris. It requires numbers and space and how the number can change over time. While Tetris it's just "Fit block in space." Not saying this game is bad, it just requires an easier start.

And make the button to throw dice different to move. I don't know why you even have to click to move the die in the first place. You have the mouse position, just make the mouse position the die's position instead.

Thanks for your feedback ! As explained in previous comments, the choice of a single button to control all is for smartphone compatibility. I am sorry to hear you couldn’t keep up with the speed. I have to say that it was originally going to go faster 🤣 so yeah I think I had a good idea to slow down at the start and after the jam I’ll change the timer to be slower.

Nice idea! If the game can add a ghost dice feature that showing the number before throw, the game will be better!

Developer

Yes of course why didn’t I think about it before !

This game has the cards to be a top100 because it has an incredible unique mechanic. Just a tip: maybe to throw the dice should be a different button (like space). Anyway very good game!

Developer

Thanks a lot 😁 ! I am aware that controls are kinda weird but I choose this way to allow mobile phone compatibility! I’ll also try your game soon !

Really interesting game! We used a similar puzzle mechanic of trying to manage the faces of a die in our game :) I like your take, it feels like a more mind bending and tactical version of tetris. Really good work! I know it can be tricky setting up the tracking of all of the sides of the die :P

Developer

Thanks for your comment ! Yes it has been kind of a pain to manage the dice face and all the falling mechanic !

Message to everyone struggling : I added a “Controls” section in the description of the game. Hope that helps, if it still not, then feel free to express what you don’t understand down here dans I’ll try to explain it !

It's a bit confusing at the start but once you get the hang of it, it can get pretty fun !

Developer

thanks !

Definitely a nice concept though might be  difficult for beginners. Overall, it's good and you did a great job on your game!

Developer

Thanks Rinax ! I added a “controls” section in the description so that anyone could understand

Well this might be one of the most unique submissions I've seen yet??

Cool concept! Like a couple others mentioned at the beginning I was very confused about the controls. First I thought they weren't working, and then I though you had to drag down really quickly or something, then finally I noticed you could just hold down the mouse button. Once I started playing then it was pretty neat. I really like squashing those orcs with my dice!!

Overall nice idea and concept! Very innovative!

Developer

Thanks !👍 I’m gonna add a small text on my itch description to explain!

Nice concept, but it is unclear how to place dice and you don't die when the board is full of dice. Also, the music was really quiet. Good work though !

I wanna say, it’s not a bug it’s a feature :) Thanks for the comment btw !

Unfortunately, I didn't understand at the beginning how to place a dice. I did it by positioning the mouse in a cell, pressing the left mouse button and then dragging down.  I don't know exactly if that's the correct way. Maybe considering to add a control tutorial to your game page? The enemies also get very fast over time, which makes it impossible for me to place a dice in time. I also had trouble launching the game in Chrome. I then switched to Firefox.

What I like about this game is the strategic placement of dices. Because if two adjacent dices have the same number, they disappear, which gives you more space, to place more dices.

Overall i think this is a good submission.

Oh. I understand the fact that the game is complicated to get started with. Just to check, have you read the “How to play ?” text. My idea is, the die starts on a face and roll down until it hits the bottom. It starts rolling at the X number showed over the select square.

I think I slowly got the hang of the game as I played it. The feedback on placing a dice was related to new players.
