Randomness is indeed dangerous !

Really fun game ! Each roll is a new experience !

Also, there is lore ?

Developer

Thanks! At first the idea was to put a lore changing according to the dice but it was impossible for me to implement it xD

The pixel art and presentation were absolutely outstanding! Amazing game!

My queue was looking for someone to bring something different to the table. I really like the mechanic - though it could be interesting for future iterations if you could stack/manage dice to selectively control certain random elements of the levels to come ahead. Have some resource management going on. That aside, excellent effort, good juice for the time and no bugs found so far.

Developer

Thank you so much for your comment😁

Cool idea! I like that you decided to go meta with the setting.

One thing I wish would be different is a randomisation of the level, whenever you spin the dice. This kinda goes against the main idea, but maybe it would be better to just give levels in order (you can even still pretend the levels are selected randomly). Player would naturally want to see all the content of the game, instead of getting the same level multiple times, and you can start giving out random levels if the player decides to keep playing.

Also controls are a bit evil in this one, I felt like at some points I was denied my right to double jump due to being to close to a wall. But overall - great platformer with lots of replayability, good job!

Developer

yes you're completly right, the randomization of levels is a bit weird and like this, theres some more design problems but im sorry hahhaa in 48h its hard for me to do all perfect 🤣🤣 Thanks for the review😁

Fun randomized platformer with a lot of character. Not sure the game feel was right when it came to moving and jumping. Felt a bit sluggish and wall jumping seemed unpredictable in how the player would move.

Thanks for the feedback!

Great idea, though some combinations are really tough. That combined with really small platforms and a lot of obstacles and enemies made the game extremely hard.

I wasn't a fan of those slow downs (high ping) especially when I needed to wait for some platform to move out of the way :D The ability to re-roll level at any time was super cool, but the animation of rolling those elements is a bit too long.

It's great that the game restarts immediately, though I think I'd make it auto-restart on death.

The base of a really cool platformer is there, but some combos are just... brutal ;)

hahaha yees you're right! its a bit difficult game the idea was something like meatboy or something like that but its not totally polished, thanks for the feedback! ☺
