The sounds are great, the idea is very creative and the art is very well done! Great Job and well done!! :D
Thank you!
The idea is very well implemented and the die personalization really makes you feel in control. Even though it's mostly random, there is definitely some potential for tactics, especially thanks to the "reroll power" (the red face).
Also, I found a bug. If you smash at max power right after the dice start rerolling because one of them landed on the red face, the dice go flying off screen. Happened to me twice, first time they came back, second time I lost 2.
Had a lot of fun with this, I ended up playing for over 15 minutes. Well done!
Thanks for sharing your experience and bug! Sorry for the loss of your dice, since the "invisible wall" was not high enough for the max power, we will solve this bug.
Very nice idea with the faces of the die being slots to equip. I also like that you are invincible however I felt like I wasn't really in control of the dice (hitting it from one side didn't necesarily push it the other direction) but that is a minor issue, but maybe make them lighter so that they roll for longer?
Thank you for playing! Yes, sometimes the dice rolling is not that satisfying due to the physics, but we will tweak it for a better experience.
I've not often seen a dice builder game (as opposed to a deck builder) and I don't think I've ever seen it in video game form. Well done on giving that a form, and blending it with real-time combat. However I feel like maybe I don't understand something, because all I've done gameplay-wise is jump to roll the dice and the enemies don't seem to hurt me at all so I'm not sure what the threat is.
Thanks for playing it, currently the threat is from the count-down time in levels, for sure there should have a more interesting design to explore.
The art and gameplay was amazing and fun. It's a decent game with lots of potential. Good work <3
Thank you!
A pretty decent game with a very creative and fun mechanic! Had a pretty fun time with it, although it got a bit boring too soon in my opinion. The scaling aspect of the game can be improved maybe? So that we can get to a point where there are a lot more powerups on the die's faces sooner, making each slam more satisfying since it activates a bunch of different effects. Took me a long time to replace most of the die value to something other than the DARK ROCK. A way of doing that would be to introduce more choices for more dice or powerup changing, such as giving the player 5 choices per room completion, and let them pick 2 out of the pool. You can prevent dice overload (prevent the player from only picking extra dice, which makes it unplayable due to how crammed the screen might get) by having a limit.
Also, in the later stages, I got stuck at the start for quite a long time due to collisions with the enemies. Maybe disable collision or something?
A lot of potential and room for refinement imo. Looking forward to later versions with more powerups!
P/S: I couldn't give live commentary due to not being able to stream, sorry
Hi Yuuni, thanks for the serious comment.
1. Yes, we need to think about how to keep players in the mental flow by introducing new game experiences in the progression to avoid boring issues.
2. Speed up the leveling up session for quick reward is a good thought to enhance the positive loop.
3. Just as you said, we definitely will add more new interesting powers and mechanisms around the dice if we keep developing this. Giving players the choice to select which power to take is a good suggestion.
4. It seems the collision is a problem in the later game, we might disable that between players and enemies in the future.
Thank you again for playing our game and sharing your experience and thoughts!
