Love seeing the Godot representation!

I'm not really into bullet hell sorts of games, so it seemed to me like there were multiple points where I had little to no chance to dodge the enemies; perhaps someone more skilled than I would have done better. There was also one attack (the blood drops, I think) which didn't seem to do any damage to me at all.

The music was quite fun and catchy!

It took me awhile to notice the little die in the lower left corner and connect that to the attacks which were happening on screen.

The UI looked great, though. I also liked the tileset art and the squishy animation. It added to the whimsy (in addition to, I imagine, being faster to create).

Overall, nice job!

thanks! the squishy art was due to time constraints lol. also yeah two attacks were actually not balanced well and sort of unfair as i run out of time to balance them! and the soda rain (or blood drops as you call them) randomly broke and stopped doing damage :\.

Got 12k score! Overall pretty fun, I like me some bullet hells. Some things though:

  • The art style is incongruent, so that it makes both 3d and 2d art look less than if you would use one art style
  • The movement is way too fast for bullet hells
  • The grabby attack is bs :D

Overall nice for a first game jam game, and the 2d art is super cute :D

Developer

thanks for the feedback! about the art style, i plan on redoing most if it in a more coherent style in a later edition, but i wanted my friends to participate and we don't all specialize in the same medium (one of my friend does 3d art and i mainly do 2d art). we used a mix of both for fun but we realize it is a bit awkward looking ^^'. glad you enjoyed!

Seems to be PC only -- I'm sorry, I could not play it!

Developer

Developer

thank you buddy

Developer

this was our first ever game jam and we started like 8 hours like ://, we had a lot of fun though even though there's like a thousand little bugs I didn't expect.

here are some warnings:
the game over screen breaks unless you die immediately for some reason? i didn't die much during play testing cause i'm cracked (and stupid)

soda rain doesn't do damage, again :)

crystal spiral is pretty much impossible to dodge. yeah idk this is like entirely my fault i changed a few lines of code like 30 minutes before submitting and i guess that made the wave entirely impossible to dodge.

please tell me about other bugs! me and my friends want to expand on this game and maybe turn it into something else!
