Love the art style and atmosphere, the gameplay is ok but i could beat all the levels by just going right and up. the procedural generation sometimes spawned a chameleon on top of the exit but even tho i managed to win. But really good idea and game.
Oh man, animated intro, tilesets and sprites, nice music, the audiovisuals are top-notch! The gameplay mechanic is interesting, the random level generation brings some problems such as cameleon spawning next to the player or on the exit, but it's still really nice you pulled it off! It adds a desire to explore the game further and further. Where's the "growth" though? Were you supposed to grow to be a "true roach from the west"? Awesome game, just wish it fit the theme more :D
Ayy!! Very cool game! I loved the poem in the description and I loved how your cutscenes added music and even more poetry to add to the established lore of this game! The artwork is really incredible and you can tell a lot of work was put into making the sprites and the cutscenes! Fun puzzle game with flavorful world building! Great job and great game!!
Nice game, bro!
I was hoping for gunslinging cockroaches from the game art, but the game was pretty good nonetheless.
Nice roach game! Really liked the sprites! It would be cool if the end goal point changed for more of a challenge. Nice job on the game!
The art are awsome and the cutscenes are a good diferential.
Congrats!
I LOVE the pixel art in the cutscenes! That's really really good, congrats!
I was instantly attracted to this game by the title and cover, fully expecting gunslinging insect action, I can't say I didn't feel disappointed when the rest of the game did not so much resemble its cover and intro cutscenes.
On it's merits as a movement puzzle game however, the idea is certainly there but it felt that many of the levels were very haphazardly constructed, most notably were the multiple where I could just go straight right and up unobstructed. Are the levels generated randomly in any way? if so may I suggest that in the future for this kind of game that hand designed levels be used to increase the challenge?
Thank you for the feedback, that is a very good point. The levels are randomly generated, since this is our first project, we thought it might be easier for us to go with generated maps instead of hand-designed ones due to time constraints. But you are right, the map generation would need improvement to really work well.
