This is a great puzzle game! Definitely reminiscent of Portal. It really makes you think, right from the first level! The level design is great as well, especially when you have to use portals from previous levels! Really adds a feeling of continuity to the game.
I think the 1st level would have been better as a later level though. Focusing more on the mechanic of portals first before its various applications would have been better build-up.
Also, I think the player accelerated during its run too fast? Or at least its horizontal velocity is clamped too high or not at all. I feel a slower movement speed would allow tighter movement and would make the player focus on portal movement.
Overall a great game!
Very fun! I like the mix of platformer and puzzle type. It also does a great job at capturing the theme. Kind of reminds me of Portal haha
Others have pointed out the controls already. What I would specifically change is the max speed. When you think about it, this is a precision-based platformer. Do I really need to be able to get across the room in less than one second? Additionally, the portal hitbox could use some really small adjustments to make it feel more fair. It is easy to clip into the portal on the rising platform, and the tips don't always send me to the other side.
That all being said, I still found myself wanting to finish the game! The visuals are good enough and clear (I like the squish/stretch of the main character!) You clearly focused on quality over quantity of content. Congrats! Hope to see you on the next one.
i enjoyed the few levels i played.
I liked the shape of the portals untill i kept clipping the edge of the block every other time i jumped.
Nice game, satisfying, pretty and with interesting levels! Too bad there is no sound. The art is efficient.
