The art style takes me back to the good old days of Atari 2600 (more 8 bit sound effects could have helped there!). Nice concept. I have a small gripe in that putting ladders needs to be very precise, and even one pixel of a block above can stop going up the ladder. Maybe you could give the poor skele-fellow a tiny nudge when they just hit the corner. I also would have made the speed a bit higher. As it stands now, things get a bit tedious.

I'm glad you liked it! I agree one hundred percent, the solution that I wanted to implement (but didn't quite get done) was using a tile map to get a precise location to place the ladder on.

Good Job! The second ladder on the second level was giving me a little trouble and not letting me climb sometimes. Overall though the gameplay was fun! Simple well executed gameplay and good level design. I liked the sound effects and art as well!

There were some issues with the way that the ladders worked basically due to how I handled the whole mechanic, but It was consistent enough so that a working game could be made.

There's a a lot of creativity and artistic talent put into this game, very well made!

Half of the game was just being like "ugh Miguel why do you have to be such an idiot?" smh. Fun game though. Agree with other comments, would love to hear some audio. That sort of stuff really contributes to the feel of the game. Also, I wish I could move just a little bit faster. I am impatient lol

Developer

He truly can't help it, I hear they're trying to get an intervention going.
I'm glad you liked it! Yeah, having no sound was a mistake, and all the movement needs a serious overhaul for sure.

Nice puzzle game, it's challenging but fun. I like the pixel art style you chose and the sound effects are good, but it could use some background music. Overall nice job.

Developer

Thanks!
The background music is missing for sure, I wasn't confident in my ability to make a volume slider work like I wanted in time, so I just scrapped it.
