The reloading pissed me off haha
I liked the rest of the game, it works well.
The art is cool!
I was very impressed with the quality of the art.
The animation of the dome opening and closing is awesome!
Once I understood how to refill the bullets, it played smoothly.
It was fun!
Really liked your art style here. I'm not sure I fully understand the mechanics but I enjoyed what I played!
That geodesic dome is gorgeous and the animation! Very strong visuals and I like the juggling the tasks at the various stations. Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment but I wanted the difficulty to ramp up more. Seriously though, that dome... OMG!
As the other have mentioned a tutorial would have been helpful. The art was on point and I definitely see the theme. Great game! :)
Hey there, thanks for played and taking the time to write a comment :) Really appreciate your kind words :)
A tutorial would be nice, but I loved this game once I figured it out! The graphics and music was an absolute highlight for me, loved the tunes!
Hey there, thanks for playing!
I agree about the tutorial absolutely! Didn't have time unfortunately as is often the way with jams.
Thanks for your kind words - most of the sound effects are from freesound.org besides the jump sound the running sounds and the enemy spawn sounds which were myself. I haven't used sound in jams before but it was always something that people mentioned would help :)
Thanks again for playing and taking the time to post a comment :)
I struggled a bit to figure this one out (in particular, I couldn't figure out why my gun would occasionally jam - I think using the item on the right fixed it?), but learning by trial-and-error was quite fun. The graphics were definitely the highlight, especially the opening/closing animation on the dome when transitioning between night and day.
I was very confused at first when I tried playing the web version, and nothing but a black screen, some rays of light, and the UI. The Linux build worked just fine, though.
Hi there! thanks for playing. Apologies about the web issues you were having - I made my game on a surface go 2 which has limited processing power and I realised that struggled to run in the web player on that device.
And yes, tutorial would be great if I had the time :)
I originally had the ammo device on the left, so you had to run and fill up the ammo when you ran out but it didn't make much sense to me, I guess was trying to limit the player from just having unlimited ammo, and in hindsight the ammo indicator (the 8 lights on the gun) probably should have been a hud element instead :)
Thanks again for playing and taking the time to comment!
I second the call for a tutorial! But I have to say, the death animation was just beautiful! I died a lot tho
Thanks for playing and for your feedback! I completely get the need for tutorial - I tried and tested a lot of things I hadnt done before in this game so didnt have time unfortunately (also stupidly tried to do the no words wildcard, which in hindsight was probably an overreach.)
Thanks again for playing and taking the time to comment! :)
Thanks for playing!
I appreciate the feedback, and I agree with shortening the long duration. When I went in to this concept I wanted a 'Kingdom' vibe (if you've played it?) of having to plan for the next attack that comes in the night.
Don't know how many days you played my game for but the enemies do multiply on later days. Didn't have the time to test thoroughly though.
Thanks again, really appreciate it :D
I was so close to submission I didn't have time to fill in the details so I will do it here:
