Lovely rendition of snake. The 1-bit art style was great, and I loved the fact that you had dark mode. The controls were great. I loved the twist of adding the fast pellet. It was cool to see a leader board too.

I made my way to the top (for now). A high score mechanic definitely brought out my competitive side. This was a fun take on a classic!
I loved the art style, especially the intro scene. WASD or customizeable controls would have been nice since the arrows aren’t very convenient on my keyboard (which is totally hypocritical since I didn’t add customizeable controls in my entry either!). I did manage to start a few rounds with the leaderboard still showing, maybe by pressing space too fast? The leaderboard is a nice touch though!
Thank you for your feedback. I'll try to update the game after the voting is over, so I really appreciate your feedback. I'll add wasd as alternative input, playing the game with the leaderboard showing is a bug. Will fix that!
graphics are really nice,but movement is rough, my eyes hurt after trying to keep track of the worm

I think this is a well polished project with cute art and like the addition of the speed boost powerup
It would interesting to see how you iterate with more powerups to spice up the snake formula
Thank you! I know there is some variety in the gameplay missing. Maybe I'll add some more power ups after the jam and after cleaning my code a little.
It's always satisfying to play a snake game. As a dark mode user I like the fact that there is one.
There seems to have a bug. When you press SPACE when the game over screen is still on, you can play the game behind the scoreboard.
