are you on a mac system by any chance? sadly, godot 4's web exports are known to have issues with macs.

and if that is your situation, this reddit comment seems to recommend trying waiting a few minutes and that it would eventually load, but i sadly have no way of testing that. we'll try and export a macOS build, which should be added here shortly!

update: the macOS build is up and running. as we don't run macOS ourselves, it would be really appreciated if you (or anyone) testing it could let us know if it works!

and thanks for trying our game, either way!

oh, that's a good point about the license, i'll correct that! thank you!

and thanks for your feedback about gameplay. :)

good idea! thanks for trying it out! :)

(on the menu screen, you can select which controls you want to use (mouse or arrow keys). thanks for your feedback!)

thanks for the comment and for playing it! looking forward to find some time and play yours! :)

very nice little jam game! having the hats move around is a great and simple way to make it feel less repetitive. well done!

yeah, this is where i eventually gave up too, glad to know it's not just me being terrible :P

oh my, this is impressive on so many levels. this was really pleasant to play, challenging in a very non-stressful and soothing way. and the procedural aspect of it absolutely blows my mind! wow! :)

high score: 491 on insane

eventually had to give up, couldn't time these jumps properly. but nicely done!

ah, that dear grandmother. :D

my only issue (which might be related to my system) was that i had very poor framerate with the linux build, which made things feel a little less.. immersive? but even with that, this was really fun.

very nice entry, well done!

fun idea! character was a little difficult to control, but other than this feels like it must've been very fun to create! :D

nice little jam game, well done!

uh, weird. i'm getting a seg fault with the linux build.

i'll give it another try from another computer later!

original take on the theme, interesting gameplay mechanic! well done, and congrats on your first gwj participation!

score: 21000 :)

okay, i'm literally astonished. loved it. the boss was hard, it took me quite a few tries but i eventually got it. the ending definitely brought a tear to my eye. as was mentioned already, audio would've pushed game that much further, but even without it i thought it was amazing. congrats!

yeah, i drew the background, but then decided i actually wanted to play around with godot 4's tilemaps, so i just kept the drawing for the main menu even if it didn't feel super coherent with the game. oh well! thanks for your comment!

the path tiles are changed randomly on every scene, while the grass correspond to your dream tone. the sentences are assembled randomly from pre-written options, so it's not that impressive. i wish i would've had more time to improve that aspect of the game.

thanks a lot for playing, and for your kind words. :)

it was unclear in what ways i should avoid / interact with other moving lights, and the display of the elements on screen between the nights was hard to understand, but i still had some fun running away from those.. things? congrats on submitting your first! :)

nice idea, and interesting movement mechanic!

it was actually less than that, i just created the project about 30 hours before the deadline, but really didn't feel like crunching. :P
still, thank you for your kind words, and for playing the game! :)

thank you for playing! :)

amazing! this was very soothing, introspective, and beautiful! loved the questions and the symbols that came up following some answers. very well done! :)

thank you for your feedback! i definitely would've added a setting for a "less upsetting" movement if i had had the time for any settings menu. glad you still managed to enjoy a little bit of it. :)

amazing! this is very polished and beautiful game. nice concept, and goes to show that a team can get a lot done during a week. well done!

i ran out of time for the usual victims, so no, no credits screen, no proper menu screen, very minimal gameplay, etc. when you continue after one of the three endings, it just restarts the gameplay scene.

thank you playing!

well done, that was a fun little jam game, and a nice take on the theme! :)

nice! this looks very polished for a jam game! i found the movements a little difficult to control with the mouse at first, but overall it went well. fun concept, beautifully executed!

true! done, thanks for bringing it up, i'd somehow forgot to do it.

done! thanks :)

thanks for your kind words, glad you enjoyed this limited-scope project. :)

thanks for your comment! and yeah, there was a glitch that i didn't catch soon enough, that makes it that level 2 will sometimes load without a ball of yarn. oops!

a simple idea, very well executed! beautiful art, and it's always pleasant to have more kittens :)

it just seemed silly to me that someone preaching "everything is valid, it's all just personal beliefs, let's all smile and agree to disagree" would actually attempt tone policing someone else.

and then, if i sounded hostile, it's probably because i was, indeed, annoyed. the position you're defending has been defended more times than there are stars in the universe (a whole fucking lot!), and in my little experience, it's more often than not proclaimed by people who have no understanding of social dynamics of power, no lived experience of discrimination, or both. i'm sorry if you caught some hostility up there.. it just gets boring to be told by randos to respect the "opinions" of a group that wants you dead.

why don't you just go on and apply what you pretend to believe in, and respect this creator's having "a different opinion and [...] expressing it in the way they believe is best"?

with that theme, i was hoping something would make a game like this. congrats on a very nicely made jam game!

well done, that was a fun take on the theme!

ended up stuck on the "let us barter", where i could buy new bottles, but the character was invisible, and there was no way to move past that "dialogue".

but i managed to play a bit up to that point, and had fun! visually and musically stunning jam game!

this looks like a beautiful jam game, but sadly i was not able to play it. on linux, i get that crash right after i click "begin". console indicates a segmentation fault.

looks like there are no linux builds for this, so i sadly could not play it. :(

i really enjoyed the dialogues and the mechanic of this game! original take on the theme, and nice art and music too!
