Looks like Employee 427 has taken a trip into the desert!

I like how the game starts with an actually smart puzzle… to then surprisingly become an absurd narrative game! :p It might have been overs-coped indeed, but this is a good landing. I had a fun time with it. And for what it offers, it is also very polished!

Pretty and funny! What you did you did well! Sure I would have liked full fledged puzzles and environments, but that intricate symbol moving at the main menu alone shows how much work went into it before the dreaded deadline loomed.

Also, not to ruin the ending for others, but I found it especially funny you chose to do confetti instead of rain, even though it might be a similar amount of work to implement. :D

Hahahaha I like your voice acting skills. It is always a pleasure. And tbh better a fun and short game like this than a stretched, boring and unfinished one. Good job!

Developer

Thanks! I somewhat agree, but I did have some cool stuff planned, more environment integrated puzzles and stuff. But yeah, life just got in the way this time around, hahaha, couldn’t afford to spend 3 or 4 long nights on it this time.

Thanks for playing!

very promising the witness-like concept, but then it turned into a the stanley parable ripoff. would’ve liked to seen more of the concept from the puzzle but oh well! very cool aesthetic still

Developer

I definitely took on more than I could handle this time around, sorry to disappoint like that!

Thanks for playing!

Lucky you, I like having some meta vibe for a game :) Hope the accessibility options were not also a part of the overscoping, nice to see these anyways. Cool voice acting, too.

Developer(+1)

Haha, that is lucky! I know meta isn’t everyone’s favourite thing, but I couldn’t think of a better way to end it in the time I had left.

The options are part of my template I’ve been putting together over the past couple of years. Each jam makes it a little bit better!

Also, another thanks! I try hard with my voice acting, and everyone always seems to like it :)

Thanks for playing!

Loved the voice acting :p. The shrine looked really good too I was disappointed I didn't get to see more of it.

Developer

You and me both, but here we are.

Thanks so much for playing!

You know what? I liked it. I think you captured an experience that is relatable to anyone who has done multiple game jams before. Nice work closing this out and submitting. Additionally, I think you should get a congratulations on the most comprehensive UI/game settings implementation of the jam (at least as far as I have seen). Good work!

Developer

Thanks! Once I realised I had no where near enough time left to do what I wanted, I thought a bit of silliness would work well. I’m glad you liked it!

Thanks for playing!

A bit silly, but the spirit is there!

Developer

Yeah, kind of had to lean into something silly to get it finished :)
