Game Description
This game is about hunting for space fruits to refill your empty jam jar. I also recommend downloading the version that best suits you to play it instead of playing it in the browser.
How does your game tie into the theme?
The problem is expressed in that your jam jar is empty and you have to refill it by hunting for space fruits.

Played through your game on stream. Have the vod below timestamped to your game if you wanted to watch me go through it
Was fun to go through. Due to there being no invulnerability time on the character it was very easy to end up losing all lives at once (as well as getting hit instantly on enemy spawn when they spawn into the edge. Some things you could add in if you work on this some more in post jam is adding in a warning for enemy spawns before they actually spawn in, adding in more feedback to taking damage (e.g. screenshake, screen flash, etc.) to add more weight to that and make it feel more like you actually got it, and adding in some more polish to enemy spawn ins since currently they just blip into existence
Love the graphics and I can absolutely relate to the protagonist, Peter. Jam is no joking matter.
Fun and simple game. I have one feedback: please let us skip the intro. The web version (for me) was lagging a bit when I was shooting. So I had to download the PC version. And had to rewatch it.
But this is just something to consider for the future. congrats!
Ok, I'll keep that in mind, I thought it would work well in the browser version, and I also said that the cinematics could be skipped once the game had been played once, the truth is that I didn't think about the performance. Thank you very much for your comment.๐
i was a little frustrated with the controls at first, but it kept me playing anyway, so the challenge part of it must have been pretty fun lol. i love the cute art style in this and the fun theme. in games like this, your players are pretty much always going to want some invincibility frames after getting hit. this is really impressive for a second game! great work!
Thank you very much for your comment, I will take it into account for next time.
Very cool game
