You should have changed the button ui to fit the arcadey theme. you can do it by going into the button node, theme overides, styles. and creat a new style for each button state. you can check the buttons on my game’s main menu as an example.

i just found this out this jam.

Well, a little bit of a rude ghost, but hey! I really liked the idea and was wondering if I would see something like this. The game itself isn't terribly fun, but the concept makes up for it by far. The freeze mechanic was not really necessary unfortunately too. Honestly, it's mostly just nitpicks though. I really liked it and personally think it is one of the fresher and more creative entries in the jam. Great job!

Agree. I added the freeze mechanic solely because I wanted to have 2 action buttons. Making the second button a temporary shield that prevents damage would have worked better + be less of a hassle to implement.

This is cool! I really like the aesthetic. Although with how everything gets right up into the camera it can get a little difficult to actually see what's in front of you, especially once you start to get further in and the ghost starts moving things around.

Thanks for playing!
You have no idea how much I regret picking this specific camera setup. At least now I know what doesn't work :D

Lol I get that. I don't think this camera angle couldn't work- because I do think it looks cool lol. Maybe if things faded out as they got closer to the camera, or your actual character model was a bit smaller? That's what's good about these jams though- you can experiment with stuff like this and find stuff that works/doesn't work!
