SMECHF2025 is a bombastic side-scrolling shoot 'em up
How does your game tie into the theme?
We took the Metamorphosis theme and tied it into our game by making the player a hydra who can grow new heads with new abilities. These heads can then be morphed into more powerful "cyber" powerups found during the game.

Metal as hell! Get my hydra with 50 heads, all cyberized and devastating, chaos. I love it. Sometimes I need a game where I don't need to think and I just get progressively more stronger, give me plenty of targets to blow up and things to collect and i'm all in.
This was really fun! The ability to mix and match your weapons and upgrade them was a great choice. I think some of the weapons could be a bit more evenly balanced, but the power trip you get replaying on a 50 headed super mega extreme cyber hydra flyer 2025 was really nice! Good job!
I could feel the "SUPER MEGA EXTREME" the whole time playing it.

Only thing I'd say is the hitbox for pickups is a little weird (have to fly directly into the center), and there was no clear ending
the fact that this runs in the browser with 0 lag is also insane

The dragon animations look sick! And I love the concept of having different dragon heads with each having its own unique ability!
Sadly, I think when I died the game froze (web version) and nothing happened after that. Is that intentional? And some enemies are way too fast, I couldn't really kill nor dodge some of them.
With some polishing this game can become something incredible! Keep up the good work! :D
