Thank you! I'm glad to hear that you liked the game so much that you were trying to beat your own highscore!

The art is phenomenal, the atmosphere is great and the music is fantastic! A very calm, relaxing and short game!
The controls are a little bit uncomfortable in my opinion. Whenever I see a game using Z and X as its controls I think of Undertale: Arrow keys to move and up arrow key to move. However, this game uses space bar for jumping, and that feels a little weird. You could add support to WASD and the up arrow key as a simple way to fix that! But keep in mind this is just my opinion - You may like control schemes that I don't and that's completely fine!
Thank you! I'm glad that you liked my music XD - I'm very good at remixing other songs but I suck at creating my own.
About the lag - After some researching I discovered that instantiating scenes and adding them as child of other nodes causes a lot of lag in the web version for some reason. And guess what? The game is constantly instantiating stuff.
But don't worry, I'll try my best to fix the lag as soon as the voting ends.
I saw another comment talking about a difficulty setting, and I immediately went back to the game to try the hardest difficulty. Guess what, I couldn't beat it XD
I don't know what it changed but I believe it changed the maze? If not, then I just got lucky in the first attempt XD
Fun fact: Even without reading a thing I managed to understand that if your "metamorphosis bar" goes too low enemies can catch you (after some failed attempts of course)
Thanks for playing the game!!
And thanks for the ticket suggestion, but even if I open one I don't know where I'd go from there - I believe there's not much I can do about the lag.
All web games I've played in this jam had at least one lag spike or one visual bug. So that (plus some researching) makes me think that web games are going to lag more than a downloadable build, mainly if the game instances objects and add them as children. And guess what - my game is doing that all the time.
I'll definitively touch this game again once the voting ends. I want to add new powerups, new features, new enemies, etc. But mainly, I want to fix the main complaints about the game - lag is one of them. This might also be a good way to learn what to do and what to avoid during game jams. I hope my next game doesn't suffer from the same lag problem XD
Again, thanks for playing the game and I'm really sorry for the lag problem.
This game is surprisingly fun! I kept playing until I beat it - Definitively didn't get addicted to it XD
I love the concept of trapping enemies in the web, it's really fun to trap around 30 ants at once lol
But one thing that bothered me is how ants can move in any direction while the player is limited to move in 4 directions only. That made the game feel kinda unfair, mainly in level 4.
Lastly, you're kinda encouraging the player to not level up. The player dies if they have no leaves, right? So if I lose all my leaves when I level up what's the point of leveling up unless I have about 300 leaves to beat the game in one go? I know you can trap more enemies as you level up, but once you reach level 3 you can just farm a bunch of leaves then go straight to level 5 and beat the game.
I hope you add more to this game after the jam. I'll surely give it another try ;)
Keep up the good work!
Hello. Thanks for playing the game!
You're not the first one to complain about the chromatic aberration effect (red/blue effect). It can be toggled off in the settings menu, but all post processing is going to be disabled.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but thanks to your feedback I will definitively update the game to make it more accessible as soon as the voting ends!
The dragon animations look sick! And I love the concept of having different dragon heads with each having its own unique ability!
Sadly, I think when I died the game froze (web version) and nothing happened after that. Is that intentional? And some enemies are way too fast, I couldn't really kill nor dodge some of them.
With some polishing this game can become something incredible! Keep up the good work! :D
I like how you created an entire Google Forms just to get feedback and be able to make even better games.
I was confused in the first few seconds because of the amount of buttons and other stuff going on. You could hide certain options until the player can use them - I believe this simple change is going to make the UI less mind blowing for new players. But the game goes pretty smoothly once you understand the objective ;)

Hello! Thanks for actively reporting bugs, it helps a lot! As a way to say thanks, I created the "Bug Killer" leaderboard tag. Everyone who reports a bug will eventually get that tag. And you were the first one!
Anyways, I just dropped another bug fix (v1.13) that comes with multiple optimizations. Please let me know if the game is still lagging even after the update.
As a Just Shapes & Beats player, I really liked the game! It is really fun and challenging! And it can definitively be expanded with new enemy types, new songs, etc.
It would be really cool if the player had to destroy the enemy that follows them, by automatically shooting on beat, for example. Because it has the "problem" as Geometry Dash custom bosses: You dodge attacks until the enemy randomly self destructs or gives up. But that's definitively not a problem, just a suggestion that I'd love to see!
The visuals are really nice as well! I'd also love to see some post processing on this game, like bloom. I think it would really make the game stand out!
And I really like how you made the hitboxes. I've seen a comment that complains about the hitboxes, but I disagree with that. I could understand how they work by myself after 5 minutes playing.
Overall, I really like this game, great job! Let me know if you ever update this game!
Thanks for you comment and feedback! I actually agree with you!
We decided to not loop the music to force the player to go fast, because we intended to make a fast paced platformer. Also we thought that the game would become a puzzle game rather than a "rage" / fast paced platformer game.
If we ever update this game again, I'll make sure to add an easy mode that will loop the song forever.
Again, thanks for your feedback! I really appreciate it!
