Game Description
Follow the life cycle of a moon jellyfish from planula through polyp and into the familiar medusa form!

How does your game tie into the theme?
Jellyfish have a fascinating life cycle, from free-floating little bugs called planulae to sessile polyps to the medusae we're familiar with.

Really enjoyed the art and music on this one! I couldn't figure out the puzzle and had to close the game shortly after that but that may have been just due to my short attention span. Overall this game felt very calm and relaxing to play.

thanks for playing, and glad you liked the music and art!

As others said I really enjoyed the art. The controls moving around in the maze were also really nice. I felt like I was in water. I would have preferred a more clear exit out of the maze as the first time I went right past that point and had to backtrack.

The puzzle section was more difficult than I was capable of solving. Could be nice to allow for hints, or it places one block for the player after x number of retries. I was sad not to get to experience the final level.

Lovely little game! As others said the artstyle really is the strong suit of this entry, it's so unique and pretty! The music on the polyp stage was a bit repetitive but the planula stage is such a beautiful track, I wish there was more of that in the remaining part of the game! I'm not generally a fan of puzzles so when I died after completing the polyp puzzles and not knowing what to do in the medusa stage, I had to call it quits! I just wish I didn't have to redo the two other stages again and just keep trying at the medusa stage (unless it's a cycle of life and it's actually intended?) Very original entry!

thanks for checking out our entry and for the kind words about the art, I had fun drawing it :)

Such a great game! The puzzles were really fun to solve and the art was incredible! Such a unique style * . *

The only minor comment is that the music ended quite abruptly and restarted while playing, perhaps you could add a fade-out at the end of the song to make the cut less abrupt.

In any case fantastic job!!

I love the art style!  Is that colored pencil?  I really enjoyed my chill time as a planula, the music and the art.  Polyp stage was a bit too much for me; even with the solutions it was kind of tricky, and the music loop was a bit too repetitive on this stage.  I guess no one said it's easy being a polyp.  But by golly I wanted to be a medusa, so I fought through.  By the time I closed the polyp puzzle solution tab and unmuted the game tab, my medusa fell off screen and I couldn't seem to recover it :(  It's tough living in the sea, I suppose!  Cool jam entry, I'd love to see a version with an easier polyp stage :)
