Clean, crisp, classy. I can't highlight enough the layout and the idea of having two different pamphlets for players vs GM. I can imagine a table having their own little screens while playing.
Theme and gameplay (based on the what I read) fits like a glove. Amazing game!
This is some great graphic design and a neat format! I also appreciate the variant on item bonuses, which I imagine would lead to less hunting on your sheet for as many items as possible to work in, and encourage you to boost what might otherwise be a "dump stat" in a game that emphasizes hunting monsters.
Thanks! I like the idea of two hunters shopping for katanas in the same store: one of them getting rip off while his partner finds a sweet Hatori Hanzo jajajajaja Also the standard difficulty is kind of high, so they really need to put their equipment to good use, or find smart ways to get advantages.
That curse die mechanic is *chef kiss* molto bene. Beautiful and elegant disruption of an already pretty great task resolution system.
Oh, I also run into this bunch ofpublic domain Japanese woodblock prints from fairy tales. Maybe you'll find some use for them if you ever want to expand Yokai Hunter.
Incredible on all level: Expands the mechanics to embrace the theme. Amazing layout (love pamphlet systems). Style and aesthetic set the tone nicely. Love it.
