The rules and setting are great here but the real star of the show is the layout and design. It looks gorgeous and is very easy to follow.  This will be a hard sell on game night but I'll do my best! I want to try this out.

woah cool! Please let me know how it goes if you do run it!

Wow, I did not expect to like a game about amateur hockey this much! (This is not faint praise, but high praise.)

Hoser is probably my favorite design/layout in the entire Jam: Fun, usable, evocative, and dripping with charm.

The rules are nice and tight while giving you everything you need to tell the story of a scrappy underdog trying to make it in a rough-and-tumble sports world.

Like some of the others who've already reviewed this, I'm not sure this is the game for me, but I still think it's one of the highlights of the Jam, full stop.

Thanks for the awesome review!

I can’t stop thinking about this game. It’s the rare example of a game that, to be honest, I’m unlikely to play —don’t tend to run one on one, don’t care much for hockey comedies—but it so effectively nails exactly what it’s going for that it just impresses the hell out of me. Also, great cover and visual design overall!

Beau 'Kid Seabass' Ferraro of the Greencastle Bulldogs  here with my thoughts on Hoser.

So, the first thing to say is that this game is un-fucking-believably well laid out, the visual design here is a beaut. The tables, the character sheet, the use of space and headers to impart and reinforce information - this is a fuckin' barnburner.

This game goes absolutely coast to coast and is a fucking silky smooth snipe when it comes to capturing the themes and introduces a procedure of play better than almost any other game I've seen.

The seasonal aspect combined with the injuries is a goddamn clapper and I wanna see more of this next season. This games got fuckin' jam!

OMG I love that you used the name generator, they're so much fun! Thank you so much for the kind words, your review has me tearin' up over here.

Love the art and graphic design on this one. Outside of The Mighty Ducks, I never seen the movies that it was based on, but I now want to.

Changing Tunnel Goons into 1-on-1 narrative game is a cool idea - it shows how versitile the system is, and I haven't seen others do it for this Jam. I wish there was more advice for players who are not used to this kind of roleplaying (like myself) to make it easier to start :)

Yeah I was really curious how straightforward these rules would be for someone who hasn't played this style of game, if you ever end up running it let me know how it goes! GOON and SLAPSHOT are great movies you should def give them a shot.
