The first level felt fine as after a short while the AI managed to jump of the platform. Dozen of tries on the second level and no avail, I got bested again and again.

One thing I was not able to fully grasp, what are those percentages under character profiles? It seemed like damage taken but it went well past 200%.

In exactly the other way than with Iced Coins, it felt to me one should actually start from level 1 instead of continuing from the one where he lost, story/style-wise. Only after there is some easier AI though.

Good to see another part of the story, hopefully you will be eventually able to combine them all into one Penguin Compendium.

Well done - the AI destroyed me over and over but that matches my usual performance in Smash Bros lol. Music and assets were great, also I really liked the extra sugar with the nice scene transitions.

Small note: I do not have easy access to a Windows machine right now, so I ended up playing via 64-bit wine on OSX. It was a bit wonky to get working, as it's not something I ever do, and there were a lot of 'untrusted developer' warnings I had to click through. It eventually launched and I could enjoy the penguiny greatness :) A built .app package for mac users would be an awesome touch!

Always glad to get another continuation of my favourite penguin story!

Like your other submissions in the past, this is incredibly well polished for a jam game! The music and graphics fit the feel of the game brilliantly.

I'll agree that the AI might be a little bit too difficult - it took me over 10 attempts to beat one of the fights, and I'm not sure how exactly my opponent was managing to hit me so often. Eventually I figured out that timing my dash to hit them while they were jumping worked pretty well!

Definitely on the verge of the "platformer" theme, but since previous submissions of yours have happened to have been platformers, I think that's fair enough!

We will always find a way to continue the story of our penguins haha! Regarding the arts and musics we decided to try a 16-bit Sega Genesis style since we did 16-bit SNES style for the previous Gosu Jam :)

Yeah, the AI is not very well done, quite umbalanced and you need some luck to beat them. I think you found the best way to kick the enemy out of the platform!

Thank you very much for your review!

So glad to be back on Penguin universe ! I love how you mad those games connected with each other. The introduction is cool, maybe the texts could last a little longer for non native english to be able to read them.

The game is more a versus fighting game like smash bros than a platformer to me, even if there is a platform you must stay on. I find the game really difficult and feel that each time I won I was lucky on some way. The IA is really well done, maybe too much :)

The graphics are cool and the music is awesome ! A controller support may have helped me on this one. I really like that you take risks each jam, because you could have simply relied on one of the several great platformers you already did in the past. What will be next ? A guitar hero clone ? ;)

Yeah we would more in the theme is it was "Platform" instead of "Platformer", but we didn't want to make a classic platformer again since we already did this twice in the previous Gosu Jams. And well guessed, Smash Bros is one of our inspiration for this game!

The game is not very well balanced, we ran out of time to improve the AI. We wanted to include a 2-player mode, but it wouldn't be fair for single players.

Thanks for the review! (We'll see later for that Guitar Hero clone :D)
