I thought it was best that a jam game be too easy than too hard, but I might change some values for the final project. I'll also tone down the squeaks (grass spawning noises) and swooshes a bit, maybe find better sounds.
The art and the use of the palette are very consistent. It is very zelda-like, well done.
To add something constructive, I wish the boss had a life bar, or having more different enemies to defeat. But, again it's very polished and you guys got the spirit of these type of games nicely.
Thanks! I ran out of time, so there was only a single dungeon in the game... My personal preference is to not have boss health bars, but I think it can fit this game, specially with all the unused HUD space. I plan to make 2 or 3 enemies per dungeon, as they are very short.
I guess Dark Souls has made me change my mind about health bars haha but if you wanna go for a classic zelda experience without them, then go for it! But make sure player is getting feedback so she/he thinks is making progress (visual fx, changing the sprite or state of the boss, etc.)
Nice to hear you're expanding the game! I'll happily play the game with more content when available :)
Excellent game Nate. I really like the dungeon style game you created . Cool to see your big boss. nice to see your game alive after looking at your posts. Pixel art are really good. the most difficult , you found a way to implement very well the color palette. Great. i want to try pixel arts now :)

An interesting game, beautiful, the music is appropriate.
Easy only. I spammed the boss with blows and he only took off half of my lives =)
There was also a squeak, spam felts with weapons, or felts because of the "burning grass", after a while it becomes not very pleasant.
The game is cool! I really liked it! =)
Thanks for the game!
P.S. Subscribed, I'm waiting to continue =)
