This whole comment is probably gonna be spoilers. After waking up in the cage, I got stuck. Couldn't figure out what to do. Before that point, however, it was a sufficiently creepy meta kind of game and I really was enjoying how it was presented. The story was kind of non-existent, but if you dug a little, there were bits of lore. However, there weren't enough (at least in how far I got) that any of it started to make sense or paint a picture aside from someone being upset about something. And as KV pointed out, the mouse being the only input was both good AND bad. It may have been easier if the mouse was how you initiated things, but a separate button was used for dialog advancement.

I liked this one a lot! It draws you in with its basic art and Undertale-like character sprite and initially has all the appearance of a cute, simple game - but then you get the line "whatever you do, don't-" and it all goes wild!

Having the mouse be the only way to interact with the game is both intuitive and awkward: I didn't have to remember anything complex and even figured it out pretty quick without being told, but it also meant that my character moves to wherever I'm clicking on the screen when the text is dismissed and trying to go in an exact direction was occasionally challenging. I think with a style like this, keyboard input would be more ideal.

Overall, I found this game fun and sufficiently creepy. Good job!

This was amazing, well done! Everything from the concept to the execution were handled very well. I didn't run into any bugs or anything, it played very smoothly and felt polished. I couldn't make out any words at all in the audio log, but the pictures were very effective!

The good:
The art style is very cute, which offsets the horror elements brought in later very well. The Windows 98 loading screen is a nice touch with the old UI, although the UI reminds me more of 95 than 8.
The bad:

Maybe I'm dense, but outside of "stuck in game must escape" I don't see much story here.  Audio was rather bad, with the crashes being too loud, and the audio log so soft and muffled I couldn't make anything out.

Thanks for the feedback!!

The game is more about the lore behind the game you're playing, so try looking at the files you are given.

But again, thanks for playing!

This was thoroughly disturbing. Great work on the fake operating system, really effective.
