Although I did get a bit frustrated with the difficulty and gave up before the end, I wasn't actually bothered by it, nor the "cheap deaths" (they felt deliberate and give the game some personality in my opinion).

What did bother me was the control, the character feels heavy and floaty (if that makes sense). More specifically, it takes too long for him to start moving, and to turn in mid-air, while on the other hand he stops very suddenly. This may be my personal preference, but if the control felt better I would have gladly stuck with it to the end.

It was still fun and the animations are great!

I had a lot of fun playing this one! It reminds me a little of other rage platformers (meatboy, celeste, etc)! I'd say the camera is pretty  unforgiving, but it seems in some ways that's part of the design. The Art, humor, execution all really nicely done, I would have loved to see more of the theme in the mechanics or story thought!

I like the style, and it seems pretty fun, but the last bit of the second level is pretty ridiculous. plus you seem to like cheap deaths when the camera is panning, and that's always a mood killer. I'd love to see the rest of the game but I've tried 10 times and every time I fail I go back to the start, save that for New Game+.

I didn't really see the theme in the gameplay, which is where I look for it in jams. regardless I plan to visit back here periodically to see where you take this.

The game's pretty good imo, either it's just me or the hitboxes of the spikes are a bit weird and also dying a bunch because the screen didnt pan was a bit annoying but oh well, pretty solid!

Thank you!

Yes, the spike hitboxes are pretty broken. Especially the rotated ones. They will be fixed in the next update though.

Thanks again for the feedback!

Not a bad idea but not for me. Feels a bit like an arcade game trying to get more plays by having "gotcha" deaths with the room transitions. Personally ended up skipping a lot of the dialogue. The pulsating background was a bit distracting. Seems like a base for a solid platformer.

Woof, a good idea, but definately rough. Not crazy about the deaths that came from panning the screen. I know it became something to memorize, but jesus…

That said, I really liked the story you started developing, I wish I would have been able to get farther to see if you went further with it or not.

Congratulations, your game made me actually scream a few times.
