Same problem as with a few other games. Can't install via app and no browser version, it is a pity.

Well this game certainly lived up to its name, I was incredibly relaxed while my own civilians were sacrificed after I ran out of my initial allocation of slaves. The graphics, controls and music all give it a nice warm feel to the game, like a good late 90's early 2000's city building or tycoon game.

Some of the mechanics were a bit confusing at first, like I built a lot of the buildings with the corn logo on it because it said "Provides space for 100 food" and I thought that was similar to how houses could provide space for people. It wasn't until after I upgraded the temple the first time that I realized the other buildings actually provide food rather than simply increase the food limit. Outside of that everything was pretty straight forward.

I ran the game until I got over 2k civilians and ore food cocoa and slaves than I knew what to do with. I don't know if there's an endgame or not but here's where I left it:

Overall its quite impressive, great work!

I retried the game from direct download and gave it a spin. Its a nice idea but I could not figure out how to produce food or materials. I built a hut for 10 people and something that looked like a bag which was supposed to produce 25 materials but nothing ever got produced even by skipping through a few turns.

I lost after a few turns presumably as I ran out of slaves to sacrifice.

So it was a frustrating experience but I reckon if you just make it a bit clearer what is going on (like putting the name of the building type in the tooltip - I still don't know what the bag one is) then it could be a much better experience.

Game would not install for me from the itch.io windows app. I will try by direct download later.

Exactly as advertised this game is very calm and relaxing ;) As I am a big fan of the genre, I was excited to be playing a city builder game and I wasn't disappointed. Clear thought out mechanics, unlockable buildings and resource management. For a game jam entry this is very impressive!
