In my experience, you're way more likely to receive reviews if submitting a browser-playable game. The threshold to download a game is quite high for some people.
That said, for jams where there is a ranking period after submission deadline, I've found there's often an unspoken rule of reviewing the game of those who review yours. So that's usually a very reliable way of getting reviews/scores; playing and reviewing your fellow jammers' entries!

Try to build the WebGl version early and regularly; there are many people running into issues with that one. second advice I would add: The biggest concerns with downloadable versions are about security. So test early if your downloadable version also runs within the itch io app, which is a safer place to run the exe.
