I was one of the official judges this year, and now that the results have been made public, and I'm free to do so, here is my score and thoughts on this title:

Overall score: 7

A touching game that was dedicated to a lost loved one. I will say, it felt a bit superficial and sugary sweet, and some of the dialog was a bit unbelievable in what most normal people would say on hearing about the death of a loved one. I also feel the interactive elements were kind of tacked on to make it feel more like a game and less like a visual novel. Still, it was sweet, and touching. I just wish it had a little more depth and choices affected the game more dramatically, as that is what the game seemed to be setting itself up for in the intro.

The game is about some of the many admirable moments in my brother's life, the choices are only made to vary the events a bit, however not to alter the ending, because it is based on real events, events that are not changeable. The dialogue that is reflected is 100% how my brother showed himself to others, that is why he was admired by many people, if it is not credible for you, I understand.

This is quite the lovely way to pay tribute to a lost loved one -- my condolences on your loss.

The game itself is charming; I enjoyed the breaks in the narrative to play some mini-games and contribute to the lives of the characters. Excellent work!

You have created a truly magnificent game. I'm a bit emotional and sensitive about these things but it's not just that, even on a technical level you hit the mark. Great work!

You did a wonderful job! I think this is one of my favorite entries. The music is a little loud to me, but your choices were on point.  Always love narrative driven games and yours is very touching.

Thank you Ronove, The Star Stealing Prince VX was one of the first RPG Maker games I played, and your work inspired me. I also really liked your most recent project Life Eternal, you have an excellent ability for graphics and storytelling.

First of all, my condolences for what happened to your beloved. Irrespective of the review, the fact that you took the time to honor the memory of someone's passing with this game is respectable.

Now, this game is one of the nicest entries I've played. Its surprisingly innocent and gets super grim at the end. You relive the moments of your life before you pass and the moments, the people who supported you and more. The dialogue does seem a bit milktoast niceties for the most part but it gets its conveyance of love and acceptance well enough.

The slow mood actually fits the game, which helps to create and evoke a powerful buildup to the end.

The input mechanics are a bit on the hard side since its hard to see the grey in the dark and you also have a timer involved in it. Once I got a better wind of the controls, its much more bearable.

The ending really hits you a lot despite all the niceties. Like wow. I can't help but feel like you hit that emotional cord with this game and the powerful essence of loss with it. Its commendable.

Other than that, the presentation fits well enough and the overall gameplay isn't complex but this sort of entry doesn't need such complexities. It presents its tale and the journey enough to have me resonate with its characters, and for me it works.

Well done.

A really charming game! The aesthetics are phenomenal and the overall pacing is pleasant and relaxing. I love how the jam theme is also in resurrect life again represented for this game. I add myself to the others who would like more NPCs to interact, that's because it's a game so well done that you want to experience it more! <3
