Not a bad start. As you mentioned, as it is, the game tends to get a bit repetitive pretty quickly and it seems pretty easy to cheese by just spamming rmb. I would suggest two things right now:

  • add some variety to enemy patterns
  • add an attack cooldown or shorten the time during which an attack can actually hurt the enemy.

Once you’ve made the combat system feel a little better, I think you can start designing some neat levels with this. Keep it up!

normally i had a time delay for the kicking, i dont remember if i did it in this game. no, i dont improve this game until i find the other levels of this game. but i am happy that i finished it, it was one of my abandoned projects.

Very short and appealing!

It is pretty unengaging gameplay-wise though since there is a lack of sound on hit and enemies seem to pose very little threat.

Developer

its so short because i got for this game only 2 levels. and i didnt want it to repeat

The game is neat. Collisions are really mediocre and the controls are a bit annoying. But the artstyle is nice. Keep it up.

Developer

thank you!

Nice remake with room for improvement! Although I thoroughly enjoyed the game, I noticed that there was only one level available, and I'm curious about the existence of the additional level you mention. It was satisfying to witness the two different endings, along with the game over and congratulations screens.

However, the character's movement felt a tad sluggish, and there were instances where it inexplicably got trapped behind the red pillars. I'm unsure if this was an intentional design choice or simply an oversight, as it seemed inconsistent, allowing passage at times and denying it at others.

Overall, the remake is a promising start, and with a few tweaks, it has the potential to become an even more enjoyable gaming experience.

Best of luck!

Good music and a very short game, add more levels to make it more playable, and with some sound effects too. Also, I will say to improve the UI of the game if possible and make the animations faster! You don't have to do all these in one update, but you should work slowly and release the updates one by one! All the best! :)
