Do you feel like the game actually fun to play or does it become repetitive very fast?

it is fun! but it also becomes repetitive after a while.

i think you can remedy the feeling of repetitiveness by adding more obstacle/enemy types or increasing the speed of the game gradually over time. these kinds of things would create a shifting landscape the player has to adapt to.

additionally, i think the feeling is impacted by the fact that jumping is the only thing that's actually difficult -- you can spam space to shoot and hold down to duck endlessly. the only thing that needs timing is the jump.
(and speaking of the jump, i feel like it could be a little higher.)

i like a lot about this game -- the style, the reactivity of the controls, the sfx -- it all fits together really well! i think some small tweaks could make it a lot more fun and a lot less repetitive :)

Game was fun. Sometimes accidently hit Space or Up at the wrong time because I would forget Space is shoot, not an alternate jump key. Got better after a few rounds. I like that there was a variety of things duck and avoid and even shoot. I made an infinite runner too, though it's much simpler, with jumping only.

You might consider adding WASD/left hand controls and definitely music -- an 8-bit sound track would go good with your visuals. You can find a lot of free to use creative commons on itch or other sites like https://opengameart.org.

Kind of fun, but the game does become repetitive fast. Maybe more enemies, hazards and the addition of power-ups, a variable jump might help, maybe colors or skins you can unlock for the player. I read you got rid of the menu, I understand why, but maybe a simple ''press this button to start'' might help with the game presentation, you know, so you don't see your character constantly dying when you aren't playing xd.

I like the options to shoot and crouch, I think you could do more with that.

The game does become repetitive very fast. It's very simple and there isn't a lot of variation. You just do what the enemies on screen tell you to do. I think making it get faster over time, introduce new enemies, and add upgrades ( shoot faster, etc. think of how Temple Run does it) would make it better, or even just add coins to increase score.

I was originally planning on adding both coins and game speeding up (and more obstacles), but time crunch happened. Thanks for feedback, ill try to do something with it after the jam ends - especially with the lack of obstacles.
