Developer Feedback Questions
The Devlog itself. It is the first time we do one so we were wondering if we even did it right. Using a single log for the whole jam week, and writing it as a sort of diary...

I feel like there's the foundation of something here, but I'm just not quite grasping it. I do really like the possible paths changing with the season, but I really couldn't figure out what I was doing. I also really struggled with surviving in general (likely a skill issue on my part) as my minions movement felt a little too slow and his attacks a little too inaccurate.

Devlog:
- I think this is a fine way to do a Devlog. It's a very personal and inviting way to do it which I like. I think it's probably particularly good for an indie dev trying to build a community! My only suggestion would be to chunk it up a little more, it's currently a pretty long read, so breaking it down to 2-3 days max could make it shorter and easier to digest.

It’s a nice game, with many things already in it. The seasonal change felt very nice. I would appreciate the text in the intro having a larger delay each time before disappearing so I can learn the story. A menu button would also be nice. And an inventory to remain in the main game scene so as to understand what you are collecting.

The crystals remain a mystery to me. I didn’t quite get which season they grow in. I collected a few of them in spring, mistaking them for flowers :)

The game first asked me to make 1 blue potion and then 2 blue potions. I made all three. But maybe for the future, it makes sense to include non-repetitive randomness.

Thanks for the feedback! The crystals were in a cave on the top right area past the river (You can only cross there on winter as the water freezes)

The potion-making task admittedly is like that because of my lack of skill, It takes a random potion each time and increases the amount, but I will work toward learning how to do that better and work on UI so the player gets better information!

You know… I’m pretty sure I collected some crystals during spring :)

Oh, that's because there's always some "leftovers" from the previous season, so in spring you find winter crystals laying around, in summer you find spring flowers, and so on. They're different from the main season ingredient because you can safely take those as opposed to the main ingredient where you risk angering the forest if you take too much and dry it out.

Yeah, I already figured out what happens when you do unsustainable farming… :)

One day - one update. Great work with a DevLog, tho.
