Oh man that ending is uneasy! Love the energy, wish it were longer. Would totally add it to my playlist if I saw it in an OST :)
Very solid work. It definitely creates a nice vibe.
I think the main thing I would improve here would be to work on the dynamics and articulations of the instrument. I've been thinking about either incorporating mix quality into a score called "overall execution," so that dynamics and articulations are more clearly articulated as an important element. I may also just make it its own category, though I guess I'm a little hesitant because part of what makes chiptune is its very mechanical sound.
But I think maybe that's part of the challenge of composing an orchestral piece. Great work.
This is a really fantastical song that seems like it would be right at home in a elven woodland. I especially liked the (claps?) towards the middle lightly accenting the drums and acting like high hats, they really added a lot to the character.
Thank you! The percussion was a "traditional drum" and the higher end element was "forest logs" being tapped together. Gives a real intimate earthiness. It was actually the first thing I decided to use for the piece, so I'm so glad people are liking that element!
A melodical bliss with lots of epic characters. One of my favs <3
Lovely composition and great vibes! The arrangement is brilliantly managed and the mix is lively. However, excluding the part where the long strings comes in, I see this more apt for a “mystery” theme rather than a “natural/folk” theme like the jam suggests. It doesn’t change the fact is a great, great work, though!
Thank you very much! :)
I was going for a mysterious mist-covered space filled with mysterious beings, so pretty much nailed it with the "mystery" you were vibing from the track!
good journey, reminded me of a light fantasy with elves as detectives))))
Very nice! I especially liked the subtle touches with the orchestral percussion.
