Description
This is a submission for "Impressions Composing Jam: Imagination #2" wherein participants are tasked with creating a song inspired by the provided artwork and/or the "far reaches" theme.
The provided artwork was Japanese, hence I was reminded of ninjas and samurai tropes and was inspired to produce a fast tempo drum and bass track, a genre well outside my norm. I included both electronic musical elements as well as a wind (well, a pigments synth preset) and taiko drums (to provide some Japanese ethnic feel).
DAW: FL Studio
VSTs: Korg Triton, Arturia Pigments, Arturia Acid V, Steven Slate Drums 5.5, Taiko Creator, Audio Imperia Nucleus Orchestral Core.
Plugins: Waves Magma Tubes Stereo, Waves Magma Channel Strip, Minimal Audio Rift, Maximus, Fruity Parametric EQ, Limiter, Balance, and Compressor.

It gives JRPG battle music, a really cool vibe!
Groovy and fun track as always 😁.
Not sure if it's because I've recently been playing FF 13, but this has that same constantly flowing/changing quality to it that Masashi Hamauzu always has in his music, but with a bit more of a "playful" feel to it.
Really liked this, the choice to use acid bass was especially 🔥.
Good stuff!
The mixing is maybe a little murky and narrow, but overall this is really a lot of fun.
Great job!
I think my most favorite part of this is the flute! Amazing fight music altogether.
I like this! and how it changes from one melody to another. That section at 1:13 and the percussion that follows are my favorites!
I like the variety of percussions you used, they really blend well together
The mixing here is alright, it's kind of really pushed up in the lowend while the mids and highs only seem to be coming from the Taiko and one of the synths.
I didn't quite get the Samurai / Ninja vibe, I feel this is due to the use of synths over natural instruments. I don't really feel like this matches the theme or painting, but it's a great submission.
