Great game! I feel like all of my concerns were better written in PolyCube's Comment, but whatever. Opening Cutscene was great, but I think you spent a lot of time in that and then not really in the gameplay part. The art is awesome, everything is really well drawn, but I  feel like this could've been a better game if you could tell the potatoes apart, or even if there was just one Potato. The music got on my nerves really quickly, and didn't seem like there was any change throughout the game. Overall, pretty good, but could have been worked better in certain areas.

forgot to actually write a review for this one so here it goes. Opening cutscene was greaf and as soon as I saw it I thought I was in a for a treat but then it just ended with no transition into an empty level with 2 potatos falling onto the ground. Levels feel repetitive using the same background and terrain with clipping corners of it in some places. That would be compensated by gameplay but it's just as repetitive as well going up and down a hill holding the right key. I may be stupid but backtracking from the "fake" drops was a pain.

For what I make to make it a better game:

distiguishable potatos, make a dynamic camera that frames 2 potatos at the same time and has a some kind of a limit so the potatos don't go away from each other too far, more interactivity between 2 players. this could be just as well a single player game, particles, on everything... rolling, jumping, landing EVERYTHING, same with squash and stretch, abuse it, more thought out levels than just a hill, some small puzzles requiring cooperation between 2 players, maybe 1 player could be above the ground and the other one was underground working together as potatos to let the other one escape up or *underneath*? The cute art is great but more variety is needed since I don't wanna stare at an empty background with lines for the whole game and a plain ground with corner issues

Overally m o r e polish and j u i c e 🧃🧃🧃🧃 but the idea is there

edit: I love potatos don't kill me :< I try to be honest

Hey thank you for your feedback! Sometimes when people tell me things that are less good in my game I get upset or sad, but actually in this case I'm really happy to hear all the ways I can improve! I actually think I want to finish this game, so your feedback is very much appreciated

you are so right about so many things.... polycube is a video game mastermind.... i aspire to be like polycube....

very funny and charming, controlling two guys at once is fun but i wish they were distinguished from each other at least visually. thanks for the game!

thank you for your feedback, I will 110% try to implement it!!! :)))

Not bad

If you remove the ceiling sticking it'll even be great.

I like the "challenge of a 2d marble game but you control 2 marbles at the same time" concept. But I would wanna see the marbles interact more. Maybe to get to the other cliff you need to freeze one marble and climb on it with the other one. Maybe add the velocity accumulation while frozen (like in Zelda). Maybe at some point they go into two different parallel caves so it's harder to control them.

Idk, good stuff, I liked the physics of it. But the ceiling stick is from satan, remove it rn

lol ok I experienced similar difficulties during testing but of course I only tested the game after the due date for the jam. I like your ideas! I think adding more potatoes is a must.

All of our budget went to the cutscene

hmm... I don't know how I could have improved the base game though, what are your recommendations?

specifically I mean the transition from the cutscene to the game…. Maybe some post processing or wind effects or something…

NICE.

I didnt get very far but maybe im just too high and stupid, so i kept losing track of which potato is which.

Unique and fun tho - was genuinely engaging and could easily be put out as a full small game with some polish.

Obviously theme was just the setting rather than any mechanics - but that's fair, think that is prob the case for most.

GOOD JOB, KEEP MAKING STUFF.

hey thanks for your feedback! You’re not the first one to have difficulties, but being high and stupid would probably make it even harder.

The game is set “underneath” the earth but my main take on the theme is with the story. I use cutscenes and text to establish the theme of seeing the beauty underneath as you grow and learn. Anyway thanks for reviewing!

if you finish the game please let me know :)

I couldn't pass the sticky ceilling part because the potatoes won't stop getting off of it.

Still pretty solid game overall :)
