Hey there,

Thanks for your submission! I like your interpretation of the theme and the "escape room" vibes this gave. I noticed you checked "All Original Content" for this submission, but the painting on the wall doesn't seem to match your other graphics in the game. Could you confirm how this asset was created?

Thanks!

Hi Adam. Definitely does not match hahah but it's was purposeful both pictures, it's was gernerated based in my portrait and my partner in this jam @Gousen Pride using a AI based app called  https://portraitai.app/ used to transform our real portrait to a old fancy dated portrait paint . We thought this mix will cause a more "dark" or "sinister" vibe inside the scene then a "lowpoly" picture to match with all...

Thank you for appreciate our game!

Hey! I liked this game, I enjoyed the interpretation of the theme and there were nice little puzzle solving elements sprinkled throughout. From a technical perspective the mouse controls were a bit too sensitive for my taste, perhaps giving an option to change that would help. The player also seemed a little small compared to the rest of the objects in the room, and the interaction controls were just a tad bit wonky. The art direction was also a little off putting. I did however enjoy the VO for the letter and I though having the chest keep items was a nice little puzzle mechanic. Overall good job!

Thanks Kagedin!

We tried to solve some of this issues but we rush in the end and the all energy was gone hahah and we forget to fix a lot of things... anyway we appreciate your feedback.

Thanks!

I like how you have to store items in chest to get them in the other reality. The voiceover is a nice touch. I like the interpretation (I did something similar). Gj

Thank you very much for playing our game! Glad you like it

I like this game! The biggest issue for me was the first time I read the letter: I couldn't figure out how to close it. Only later I realized you have to place the cursor on the letter to be able to close it, but you should not have to.

I really liked how you made the light that can be turned on and off, can I ask how did you achieve that techically? I mean specifically the emissive cone shaped part.

Nice job overall!

Developer

Hello Jack. Thanks for playing our game. We did realize that bug where you have to place the cursor on the objects to re-interact with them, and you are right, it shouldn't be like that, sadly it wasn't something we could spend time on :<

About the light... We used Unity that already has an cone shaped light emissor, and we already have programed an toggleable interactor, so the only thing we really had to do was make the toggleable interactor turn the object that was with the light component on and off. :D

Yes, I use unity too and I know about the cone shaped light emissor. But you also did something to the lamp material right? Or is it itself illuminated by the cone light?

Very interesting approach to a logical problem. I recommend everyone to play this game. Indeed it has some bugs, but nothing that keep you without playing.
During my run in this game I found my self trapped for sometime without knowing what to do. But when you get the hang of it, you flow through the game. It's nice to play 2 or more times just to beat your own time.
Nice job guys!

Thanks for playing our game, and for the feedback! We fixed as much bugs we could but you know how it is, they keep coming ! hahahaha
