  • Hey! I was so excited to play this one following the awesome weekend of streaming we got to see from you and your team. I think the concept is awesome and there's a lot to like about the vibe that production values are creating. That said, I really struggled to play this one (tried the jam and later versions) due to performance issues and other technical hitches. Beyond technical issues, I think more time into designing the puzzles to be closer to the matches / candles variety would make the experience a little more fun. I definitely want to be teased and pulled into the world, rather than scratch my head figuring out what I'm supposed to be doing. You definitely bit off a little more than you could chew in a weekend (I always have this problem, myself), but I hope that this means we'll get to see more of Mirror House in the future, because I think the concept is one worth exploring. Thanks for the game, and best of luck! -Adam

After the first two tarot cards I got stuck the first key magically disappeared after clicking on the chest. Dont know how to interact with other mirros I can only shoot boxes inside but that doesnt do anything and chest eats up items and makes them smol

Yeah unfortunately there was an invisible import issue with some of the UV meshes on the models that Unity didn't catch, causing the main mechanic to default to (0, 0) effectively making it impossible. This was only present in the build version and not the editor version not because of a late submission but because the Editor apparently enables Read/Write to complex meshes by default but you have to enable them manually for export (weird!). I spoke to Adam about this and found the solution 3 days later-- clicking a single checkbox on the affected meshes and making the game work as intended. I ended up uploading it over on my itch, if you want to play the fixed (single check box) version.

Thanks for the playing this one though and it was awesome seeing you during the streams and playing your game!

has some beautiful art and lighting. the light ambient music is a nice touch for the feel.  some technical issues with clicking on things.   would of been nice to have just a lil text at the start with a breif discription or story

Totally agree. We had some technical difficulties for sure, least of which the above comment I left with Toasted Gears, but you know that art shone in the end anyway! Thanks @Jokundor for his hard work on the modeling texturing and lighting.

And updated version with a single change (I clicked a check box on the mesh import called read/write enabled) fixed the mirror issue. unity had made this error invisible unless I launched the build with developer mode enabled!

a disclaimer: the game works perfectly but... only in the editor? Trying to get to the bottom of why our editor build worked but not the export.
