  • Wow! this was a fun one. I've never played a game in this genre before, so I enjoyed the... spin... on the gameplay. I really appreciated the intro and graphics dedicated to telling the story. Those elements really kept me invested. The music was good, and the game was pretty functional without any dramas or bugs. Thanks for the entry! I had fun with it.

This is certainly not what I was expecting when I started the game, it was much better

When I read "physics based" I was immediately interested, it did not dissappoint. The story was also great, I didn't think I'd be so immersed. Even though I'm stuck on wave two haha

The cutscenes were great, from the story to the art

I'll continue playing this later, I would love to see a bigger version, this game has potential to be even more than what it already is!

this game is super cool. i’m wondering, is there a wave four? or does the ‘lord’ just leave you to your fate? i lasted about three minutes on wave three, btw :) right from the start the intro scene pulled me into the story, i wanted so bad to stop the plague. love the art, love the background track. the swing mechanic is hard to control but very fun, definitely needs a joystick! i like you you do more damage when you build up momentum.

I like the fighting concept and the cute pixel art. It's pretty addicting :D The intro is also epic.

I love this game! The art is wonderful, especially in the cutscenes! I really dig the swinging mechanic, it's a spin (pun intended) that I don't think I've ever seen in action games. The huge morning star was definitely the most fun weapon for me! I lost patience after the 3rd or 4th try at the third wave, but this is a good game, great job! Would love to see more of this.

As everyone has said, intro was great and made me feel more immersed into the game. At first I found the swing mechanic kind of frustrating, but I got the hang of it and it was pretty fun!

Awesome game! Loved the swing mechanic :) felt really good and when comparing sword to hammer the hammer actually felt heavy. Great job!

Thank you! :)

No problem mateo

Like others have mentioned, the intro is excellent. Just enough injection of story to give a great context to the game. I do wish the difficulty got more intense in wave 3 as time progressed, but overall was a super fun game to play, well done!

The intro just floored me! I need to take notes for my next jam :).  I thought the gameplay was extremely fun- though I wish there was health bars for the enemies. Also- perhaps the damage could scale with the velocity of the sword? I think that could be extremely fun to mess around with. Overall- Fantastic story, gameplay, and art!

Developer

such kind words thank you!

There is two velocities that equal 2 different damage types for each weapon but I wish I had time to make damage one to one with velocity that would be sick.

Thanks for playing!

Love the intro. Very cool take on a wave based game. Really took some getting used to the physics, felt excellent to fall into a good zombie killing rhythm.

Developer

cheers! Thanks for playing!

I don't even know where to start with this one. Firstly, that intro was incredible. A poem, beautiful art, and great music. Presentation is S tier. It took me a lot of time to get used to the main mechanic, but once that happened, one of the most fun games I've played this jam. I did find quite a few grammatical errors and typos in the game, but that didn't affect my enjoyment of it. One question: is the third wave infinite? Does it have an end? I stopped after getting ~120 score.

Overall, amazing job. For a game made in 2-3 days, this is outstanding.

Thank you so much for your comments! :)
Yes the last wave is "see how long you can last" kind of thing, the main intention was more waves and more weapons but time being time lol.

Thanks for playing!

Such a cool concept! Spinning the weapon to use it is such a cool, addicting way to control your character, and the way it was implemented was really satisfying. Well done!
