Aww, I like this one a lot. Gameboy aesthetics tug on my heartstrings, and I love a good puzzle platformer. I ran into a little finickyness interacting  with the gameboy the first time. Got stuck and had to reload to get it to work. Might be a browser thing, I don't know. Took me a minute to realize only left shift would work to change carts, as well.

But yeah, really solid all around. Nice take on the theme, cool core mechanic, good art, good music, good "hup" sound.

Thank you for all of your positive feedback!  Glad you liked the aesthetics, I wanted to capture that nostalgic feeling of being stuck in your room as a kid with nothing but a Gameboy and your imagination! That's odd about the Gameboy, I think it might be an issue with the collider, could be a browser thing too. Ah! I was wondering if I should clarify left shift or not I'll make sure to tweak that. I'm really glad you enjoyed the game!

Also thanks for noticing the hup sounds totally justifies me recording strange noises in my room at midnight haha!

What a fun game! Maybe you could add some way to know what the next level will look like? Because there are a lot of blind jumps atm. This is the first game I finished playing from this jam, and the art is awesome! Great work!

Thank you so much for playing my game! I appreciate the feedback! I was wondering about adding a "hint" to the next platform but I was afraid it would make the puzzles a bit too linear. I'll have to tweak with the levels to see if I can fit that in.

I was wondering about that. Maybe you could even let the player pick the game instead of having a linear order, that would make the puzzles more dynamic, and you could have a minimap of all the different layouts so they know what they're getting into

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Those are some great ideas! I considered having the player be able to choose which cartridge to play but trying to come up with a clever way to pull that off without the linearity was difficult in such a short time. The gravity inversion in particular tends to break the flow (which was a last minute discovery) hence the giant blocking platform in the second level. I do like how it can make the puzzles more dynamic though. I also really like the idea of a minimap showing the different platforms ahead of time that way the player can see it and kind of plan out which cartridges to hop to. If I continue development with this after the jam I'll test these out and if they make it into the final game I'll make sure to give you credit!
