- Hey there! Nice to see a submission from you, and I think you did a great job of putting something together for your first jam. It's totally playable and we didn't catch any bugs. For future jams, I'd work on trying to integrate a little bit more story / development of the experience to keep players engaged. An intro screen, a score and an ending would have pushed this entry a lot further, and aren't too much of a jump from where you are now. Thanks again for participating. Best of luck on your dev journey!

Hey there!
This was an entertaining game. The mechanics and controls were simple and intuitive. The graphics and sound go well with the atmosphere and game genre. It's a well-done project for a weekend-long jam.
If you ever plan to continue working on this, I also suggest adding more diversity, more enemies and more weapons.
Overall, this is a fun game with a lot of potential. Great job!
This was a simple, but well done game. I liked the idea of the two different weapons, though from the initial info screen I thought the second weapon was going to be some kind of shield. They have some nice trade offs. Definitely would have been cool to have some different enemy types that are better dispatched by one weapon or the other, but obviously the time limit of the jam doesn't make that easy. Could definitely be a cool game if you decide to keep working on it after the jam, but it also works as a nice little jam game, especially since I see you said it was your first jam.
Thank you for the feedback. Yeah you're right, the time contraints limited to what I wanted to do. I was starting to implement another enemy type that shoots. And even some power ups that let you shoot more projectiles at a time. Maybe I'll continue on it sometime. =)
A simple top-down space shooter, aiming with the mouse pointer.
-Move with the WASD keys or arrow keys.
-Left click is a long range projectile that slows down your ship's movement while firing.
-Right click is a short range wide projectile which does not slow you down, but stops your rotation while firing.
Unfortunately, there isn't an ending to the game. See how long you can survive for.
I'm fairly happy with how it turned out for my first Game Jam, and it was a good learning experience. I wanted to add a lot more features, such as weapon upgrades, other power ups, more enemies, score.. etc. However, I focused on aiming to have the game in a complete playable state.
This was really fun, one of the best shooters i've ever seen in a game jam. The camera was really well done and the graphics is great to look at. Audio was designed very well, and satisfying to play. Altho the speed sometimes get slow if you move back idk why but amazing game. 4 stars across the board B)
Thanks for the feedback! Hehe, actually someone else mentioned the ship moving slow while going backwards. It's actually going slow while holding down the primary long range weapon. While you don't lose speed using the short range weapon. It's meant to be like a trade off for using each weapon. I should have made it more obvious.
It was fun, it got pretty hard quite quickly
Pretty fun, I particularly liked the design of the space ship and how when you go backwards it becomes a little slower. The only thing I would have really liked was a health bar or something so I knew if I needed to grab the pickups or not.
Hey, thanks for the feedback. Hmm, that's strange there should be a health indicator on the top left, like in the screenshot here. It seems to work for me.
