Instead of escape in the pause menu, use R

dang, I was hoping that too many people wouldn't miss it, but I guess that's a lesson in not making a playable menu screen with a crappy continue button.

Just to make it clear, you can get to the upgrade section by pausing. Also the first screen is the menu, sorry, should have made both of those clearer.

Awesome, can't wait to play it when it's updated, looks super promising

Yeah I realized after that I forgot to mention that you can upgrade things when you paused. I'm glad you found it engaging, I thought it might get a bit boring. And I'm glad you liked my take on the theme, I would have liked to implement it more into the actual gameplay but real life happened and I had to scrap all that. Thanks for playing!

ah shoot dude my bad, I probably should have made that text a little larger and more clear. Glad you liked it, thanks! If you have any feedback let me know.

In case anyone is wondering my high score is 269. I ended it there because once you unlock all the cushion upgrades you barely even have to play anymore and it gets super boring. But I guess that's what happens when you don't play test your game enough.

Man the art and the ambiance is amazing. I loved the swamp noises along with the simple color choices. The death scene is amazing too. I don't know if it was just me, but I experienced a lot of lag after encountering the "monster" for the first time. Other than that though, I can't wait for the rest of the game to be released!

I loved this. The art is incredible, the gameplay reminds me of those sections in slay the spire where you have a random encounter and have to pick from a set of options, which is super fun. I liked the music while it played, but I think you may have forgotten to loop it as it stopped playing for me pretty early on. The only other negative thing for me was that some of the random events would have a funky overlay with the normal petitions. Other than that, It's a great game.

Yeah I was actually stuck on the part after that, but I came back after a break and beat the whole game in 35 deaths. I really like the ending, but I think you might have a title error. I wouldn't exactly call it a rescue, but I guess you did get handsomely rewarded.

Hey thanks man, I tried to make the gameplay loop as engaging as possible without being too easy or too hard. Also I must confess the background and the falling people weren't done by me. The credit is on the game's page. But I'm glad you liked the art style!

Thanks it was a lot of work, but the strength of eagle and beetle shrines were much easier to activate with all the jewels I had colected.

I'm glad I found another GMS2 user in this jam. I thought the art was super cool, and I loved the special attack. I liked how the special attack also killed all the people that were there and not just the monsters. My only problem was some collision errors, and I did get kicked out of the game at some point.

Well I now have a fist sized hole in my monitor after trying the second level. Right after that checkpoint is literal hell. I died a total of 60 times there before I gave up. Loved the art style, looks super sick.

Sorry you couldn't work on it any longer, still pretty fun. I was just running around jumping and dashing for a good 10 minutes, which is pretty long for my ADHD brain.

I didn't know you could kill the people until I accidently hit one, and then when that gave me a jewel, I kinda went on a murder spree. I only killed 11 of them though so.

Loved the art style and the music. I'm impressed by how much art you guys were able to pack in there. I loved walking through and looking at all the neat details in the hallway, especially the hologram toilet. I did run into a few collision bugs, one of which dropped me into the unknown,  but other than that pretty fun.

I don't know why it says it was made by more than two people, it was just me.

How on earth do you play this game?

I like the sound and artistic design of the game, and I really liked that you can push the benches around, but I found the game to difficult as enemies spawned nonstop right away. This made it hard to move around and experience most of the level, because after 30 seconds there was about 100 eyeballs trying to kill me. Other than the difficulty though, it is a pretty fun game.

Pretty fun, I particularly liked the design of the space ship and how when you go backwards it becomes a little slower. The only thing I would have really liked was a health bar or something so I knew if I needed to grab the pickups or not.

This is amazing! It looks awesome and is actually fun to play. I don't understand how you managed to get something this nice out so fast. It's incredible.

This was really cool, and something I would play if it was expanded. It got a little wonky when you rotated the camera, but other than that it was a fun little game.

All I want to do is hit exit

Really fun game, that could just use a little bit of a tutorial on how the game works. Otherwise pretty cool.

I thought it was really cool, and created some interesting puzzles. It could be cool if you let the player change the bindings, but always make them have at least two bindings together.

The art is amazing, and the concept sounds really cool so if you ever come back and update the game I would definitely check it out. I didn't really understand what powered the door, but I did things and it worked out sooooo

Concept sounds cool, but I couldn't get past the first section of the game. I couldn't hit the play button and then connect the balls. A way to do that would be nice, so if there is please let me know so that I can check out the rest of your game.

This is really cool, if the double jump was better, it would have been amazing.

Pretty cool, I found it really difficult to move the 2 players at once, but that's just because I'm an idiot.

Yeah wish I would have fixed that before posting it, because if you didn't make the levels, it's kinda hard to figure out what powers what. And to get the big power object you have to get up to the top of that area where there's a door with food up there that you grab while in medium mass.

Yeah I don't know, its worked in other things,  but nobody else has a problem so its probably just me. Kinda upsetting cuz I actually enjoyed what little I could play.

I really liked the concept for this game, but I had a hard time figuring out the controls for it. Pretty cool though, I'm a fan.

This concept is really cool. I couldn't play it with anybody, and had a heck of a time trying to control all 4 at the same time. Really cool though I had fun.

Do you have a an explanation of how this works, I didn't really know what to do, but it looks great

I Really Really Really like the name of the game. The concept is pretty cool too. I noticed a bug when I got to the second double jump thing right after the two drones, where when you jump over the pit, your slime kinda teleports and the camera goes all funky. It was pretty fun despite that though.
