Nice game, good presentation and a tense climax, I wasn’t sure if going back was a good idea or not! I’ve appreciated all the Binksi games this jam, they’ve added some good variety to the entries!

Amazing work creating all of this in three days!! Characterful and immersive and really great use of the bitsy style; congrats! :)

All aspects were really well done, but I especially liked the amount of depth you were able to create with binary choices in such a small space.

Very impressed that something like this was pulled off in three days. Loved the aesthetic. Unfortunately wasn’t able to finish because all the blinking graphics were too much for my brain to process.

My blood pressure went up racing to the escape pod—as does the idea of managing all the elements of this story (character design, layout, music, narration) in 72 hours! I had fun exploring the space and characters. Agree that some restraint with what you are able to do with binksi/bitsy (i.e. the jumpy text) would have helped me focus more.  Well done.

The characters based on video game controllers are really cute and clever! I liked their personalities and I liked the use of color to indicate their moods. The black hole picture looks awesome.

You put a lot of work into all the retro screen effects, but for me it was too much--the flickery text gave me a headache and I muted the music pretty fast. YMMV though.

Hey Gwen, I'm so sorry to hear about the headache :( But thank you for your kind words.

Incredible feelings !

wow I loved this.

lovely art style, lovely music and mood, great characters.

The opening banter was super-entertaining, and the stakes/possibilities of the quasar were great.

I found it super-satisfying to turn my crewmates green and tell them nice things (who doesn't want to hear nice things) enough that I'd forgotten all about the quasar by the time it came back and was like "OH YEAH" in a good way.

then when it hit, the visuals, the music changing, ahh, it hit pretty good.

the ending sequence just felt so important and gave me all the feels.

(one thing I admit is I was using the down arrow to page through dialogue so I made a choice near the end I didn't intend on doing, but then I tried playing through a second time to try the other choice and... it felt like I got the same outcome? but maybe I'm missing more hidden stuff in the game...)

hey, thank you for your lovely comments!! we're super happy you enjoyed it <3

(the ending is the same either way, don't worry - ultimately it's that way to reflect the game's message of 'you can only try your best and support each other', because no matter what you choose, your team support you and believe in the same things as you! plus the box might survive even if the ship doesn't. hope that makes sense haha)

Oooooooh the atmosphere here is real.

I enjoyed it a lot, well done! That freaking dithered quasar picture is a thousand percent my jam. I just want to see more of this little team’s adventures now.

Thank you!!

The quasar shot was something we had in out list of "would be nice to have, but only if we have time", so we actually crammed it in there in the last few hours. So happy we did it.

Glad you enjoyed it :)

I loved it. Initially I found the dialogue a little confusing, and then it all became super clear and beautifully written. I also loved the music.
I guess if there had been like 5 seconds of "this one is you" as you enter the room before everyone started talking, then I wouldn't have been confused at all? Because the first one to speak is the Captain.
Other than that...
Pretty,
Moving,
Great character work,
Interesting choices,
Fun world!

that's a great point about making the player speak sooner, thanks!! i'll make sure to keep it in mind. and thank you for playing <3
