The art looks great for a short prototype like this! The mechanic definitely has potential, although it was often a little unclear what things did, especially with the explanation not really being visible while playing. A little in-game tutorial would have helped. Really strong idea though, could see this work really well as a full game with only a little more work!
Nice concept and lovely pixel, you could try to make the game more difficult, making the enemies chase you and adding some type of in game tutorial, also getting or points or bonuses delivering the plants
Maybe have a tutorial in-game on what to do? You could also have the plants/ingredients show their purpose in their sprites, so you kiiiinda know what they will do. It was hard to distinguish the plants from another so if they have more memorable designs that will help. Now I don't remember which plant does what.
Fun concept, Im not a fan of the controls tho. It would be nice if the item you equiped stays equiped if you had multiple. Also I feel like the scroll wheel should be the other way, I keep going the wrong way. I think it can become a great game tho!

- Maybe add a catalog. So once you brewed a potion you can see which herb did what. - Add an option to combine herbs. - Would be nice if the slimes show when they are charging.

A potion with AOE damage.
A list to see what each potion you have used does.
Effects to see when damage is done instead of only a health bar.
