This one definitely has the dungeon boss battle feel.  The music was great.  I like the healing fountain aspect.  It would make it a little easier to tell what is going on in the battle if the fireball displayed on top of the player character when you are hit and if there was some sort of attack animation when attacking the enemy to distinguish between movement and attack.

(Great to see another QBJS submission!)

Yep! One enemy! That I thought it was impossible to defeat before dying the fireballs, but then I lured him near the healing fountain so I could attack and heal very quicly ;). And the music is a banger!!!

Hello,

At first, I thought that it was very difficult to kill the enemy in the game. Actually, killing him is not too difficult after I played the game for a short period of time. The background music is excellent. If there are sound effects in the game, the atmosphere will be  raised to a higher level. The gameplay is simple but it is interesting. If there are other levels with new items, the game will be more attractive.

I was suprised because you used QBJS to create  this game. I remember that you liked to use FreeBASIC to create entries in the previous jams. You left your comfort zone for making this game. Good job!

GAMEPLAY 2/5 Bloody hard and it's not very clear what the red diagonal was supposed to symbolize. A successful hit? Damage taken? I did not beat this game. I liked how you could play in browser and had instructions.

CREATIVITY 3/5 Pretty basic top-down dungeon game.

GRAPHICS, SOUND AND POLISH 2/5 Good music but basic graphics (no animations),.

INTERPRETATION OF THEME AND COMPLETENESS OF GAME 5/5 uses ONE ENEMY theme. And I guess you could say it kinda takes place in a RUIN with BLOCKS as well.

My feedback: I like how the game adopts the Game Jam's themes of "one enemy" and "blocks".  The music fits with the overall look and feel of the game also.  The gameplay itself however, could use some refining or tuning - it seems to me that the enemy starts with an excessive amount of endurance points, which causes the game to be drawn out longer than it should be.  Maybe another idea could be to do a level system where the one enemy has little endurance initially, but then gets more endurance on later levels along with weapon upgrades?  But, in any case a good effort and a complete game, unlike my project which I failed to complete before the Jam's submission deadline!

I like the concept, I think it just needs a little more user feedback when the player is hit.  Also, kudos for using qbasic. I had no idea  qbjs existed.
