Sorry for my late comment. This game is very, very interesting. I really like this game. NaaLaa looks excellent. I look forward to all new games released by you!!
This game has a lot of refinement and visual appeal. It also has a very good "look and feel" to it and presents itself as a well-rounded, solid project.
If I were to suggest any improvements, it would be to include more songs which could fade in and out depending on the current zone that the player is in. Also, adding robot sounds and shooting sounds would greatly enhance the experience. I would also suggest a "run" modifier key, such as <shift>. Finally, user-defined keymapping would be a welcome addition (I personally found it awkward to use the <E> key to interact with objects, especially doors, when I am so accustomed to using the <spacebar> key instead from past similar genre games).
I really like the unlimited ammunition of the firearm. And the robots look really neat too. I like the creepy, tense atmosphere of the maze, and how the field of view is limited shrouded by distant darkness, making each corner turn more intense as you progress through the maze.
A really impressive project overall. I don't have much of anything negative to say about it. Really nice "polish" and refinement. More levels or missions please!
Thanks for the feedback! I won't develop it further though. I had just finished writing the game engine and software renderer and released them. This jam was perfect for testing them out :)
Very good and complete game. It uses well the language and engine capabilities. I also liked the music.
I still can't beat the part I have to collect the three orbs.
Thanks! I wish I could take credit for the music, but it's ai generated. The second orb challenge is even harder, sorry :)
this does not look like it’s a basic game. I also don’t see it being a 120 second game, cool graphics but not really a 120 second game.
There are timed areas at the end of the levels where the player has to "hold its breath" for two minutes (120 seconds) while doing battles or start taking damage from the toxic air. But you're probably right, a bit far fetched :D
While ‘Neon Breath’ may only loosely tie to the 120-second theme, it’s an adrenaline-packed 3D shooter that keeps players on their toes! The underground maze, the robot battles, and the race against the clock create an intense experience. Kudos to the developer for crafting such engaging game-play.
Your creativity in NEON BREATH is super awesome ! I like the game interactivity very much. Great !
Visually very atmospheric and the 3D control is great - I like the gradual way it leads you along, initially wasn't clear to me where to go or what objects to get, but after a few tries I got the hangs of it and enjoyed playing.
