How is your game related to the Theme and Special Object?
You move skulls onto 'magic circles' to raise them, aka necromancy. And the 'needle of life' is your tool in doing so, taking the place of the cursor.

Not a huge puzzle game person but I had a lot of fun with this. I felt that you progressed very nicely through the difficulty and taught the player how to play while introducing new mechanics. Not saying you should do it for this jam but this would be a great game to play on a mobile device. Be proud of yourself with this one.

Thank you for playing the game and for giving your thoughts, its always great to hear the opinions of someone who's not a fan of the game's genre.

I'm glad the difficulty curve worked as intended. First introduce a concept/mechanic, iterate on it in gradually harder trials then provide a final 'test'. That was the core design philosophy for each 5 levels of the game, with the last 5 levels bringing everything together for a final set of challenges.

I'll put some thoughts towards a mobile version.

Of course! The pacing of the mechanics being introduced felt very good. One thing i've noticed with some other puzzle games is having all mechanics come in blasted from the start. You started simple and used the game to teach.

I'm also happy that you allowed me to "fail" the puzzle as a way of learning as well. With a pretty forgiving "retry" mechanic to get right back into it.

Every Game Jam has at least one game which could be a full game. This game is a really polished one with great puzzle design, and a good amount of that! The graphics, music and sound effects are good too.

I must admit that I didn't make it through the whole game as I get frustrated with puzzle games farely quickly. I made it to the level with the many conveyor belts and the green skulls. Sorry

Developer

I am sorry to hear you could not make it to the end, but regardless, thank you for giving my game a try as well as for the feedback.

That level in particular is one of the more tricky ones as its all about manipulating the state of the conveyor belts whilst positioning the skulls so that they can act as 'stepping' stones in order to allow the others reach to their destination.

Great Game! I loved the mechanics and the implementation of them. My friends and I got stuck on a puzzle that felt unsolvable and I still wonder if it was. This is the kind of game that I would genuinely buy on steam.

Thanks for player the game.

You are right, one of the puzzles is currently broken and a platform that's supposed to raise with the white glyph is not doing so (actually both were meant to be blue which is why it broke). It's a shame, some of my best and hardest levels are after that point.

According to the FAQ in the discord, a reupload to fix bugs and errors is allowed during this time as long as you don't add extra features. I had to reupload mine after the deadline because some people couldn't download it. I'd love to be able to finish the game and see the rest of it.

Thank you very much for informing me about this rule, I was completely dispirited upon learning of this singular mistake which blocked off the last 7 levels.

I have uploaded a new version which resolves the issue. To confirm that each level has a solution I have played through the game from start to finish, some levels are tricky but all should now be solvable.

Just completed the game and loved the rest of it. Definitely tricky, but very fair. Potentially my favorite of the whole jam so far.
