Would love to see this expanded more! Maybe more enemy patterns and the ability to choose which tower to place? I really liked how sometimes one giant boss would come at you instead of a lot of small ones. I didn't know what the differences between the towers were but the variation in particles was fun!

The graphics are great! There's a lot of enemy variation, did you model all the kaiju yourself? The only gripe I have with the graphics is that the Japanese text didn't make sense. (the billboard on the right is also upside-down)

I made the toy robot kaijus, but the rest were Synty. I made the buildings, road and towers in Blender.

Absolute no to getting to pick which tower you place. Randomness is the entire catch of the game.

However, the plan is to add a degree of control. The Tier 4 origami swan was meant to have a fly ability so the player can swap its position with another tower. The Tier 1 radioactive barrel was meant to have a mutation ability where you can sacrifice it to power up any tier 4 tower into a radioactive themed version of itself with new, stronger attacks.

Other features coming soon that there wasn’t time to add in this jam:

- the GLHF floating spinning thing, if you click on it, that’s a bank. You can deposit your extra money there and get money payouts per wave.

- Wave settings. At the beginning of the game you can select the difficulty (easy, normal, hard, kaiju) the number of waves from 7 to infinite, maximum tower tier, number of lives, etc.

Fun little game. Feel like the audio could use a bit more work to give the action more impact.

[11pm CST, 4/9/23] Updating to fix the following bugs:

- Failed boss waves do not trigger the following wave

- T-pose on wave 28 by adding the animator

- Tooltip error on name for Scrambler tower lvl 3

- Fixed the Win screen to appear after Wave 35

The variety of different towers was cool to see.

Awhh thanks. Obviously I know the game is buggy, so it’s nice to hear a compliment instead. You made my day buddy.

Gameplay is pretty clunky. Didn't really enjoy the building or upgrade system for this game and it felt really limiting at times, especially in later levels.

The tower defense concept was fun, but overstayed its welcome a bit due to how many waves there are and there not feeling like there's much control over the outcomes of the waves (at least from what I experienced). That said, the visuals are great and the general feel of a quality tower defense game are there, so it's still solid overall!

I am so disappointed that there was no congratulations or victory popup after you beat all the waves... cryyyy

What I liked: interesting "all tower types are random" mechanic, hadn't encountered that before

Sorry for the bug. Here is the screen you deserve to see:
