I like it when games have multiple play styles, and I'm amazed you managed to get so many in in a game jam game! I had a great time playing!

Thank you for playing! We thought it might've been interesting to mix a series of minigames into what's already a blend of RPG/Visual-Novel. Kudos to my friend Reim for somehow making all of it work in RMMV.

Definitely one of the best games in this jam. Really like the feel and aesthetic this game has, and I'm curious if there will actually be a sequel with that ending.

Developer

Thank you for that compliment, very honored to hear you think so! The ending is more of an in-joke, about games or franchises always having "sequel baits", and also being just a reference to classic tropes of Romeo-Juliet type of stories. Though maybe we'll continue the story in the next Kaijujam, given the opportunity!

A shockingly polished game for a 2-week jam game. The mini-games made me laugh because of how varied they were, and the concept of the game is so cute and fun that I was just charmed from beginning to end. As someone who is just getting started in VNs, this is an inspiration for sure. My highest rating!

Thank you for playing the game! I'm honored that the game could be a source of inspiration for you! The minigames and story segments were meant to both balance each other so that VN readers and people who don't like reading can enjoy the game. I'm very happy that both aspects are well received!

Really well done, the original artwork is very pleasant to look at. I especially liked the mini games, the one referencing Tekken being my favourite.

Developer(+2)

Thank you for playing and hosting the jam! The Tekken one is probably our favorite too. Originally it was supposed to be a rhythm game, but that was too hard so we did that instead.

I really adored this one! It was extremely funny from start to finish and the mini-games worked great! My favorite part was the supposed-to-lose fight midway through. Really good reference to an old school rpg story beat!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! I'm glad you liked it! I wanted to keep at least one JRPG-style fight in the game that both RPG players and the average non-RPG players can enjoy. It was an opportunity to use that trope.

I finished the whole thing!

What I liked: the minigames! They kept me on my toes and made it impossible for me to get bored

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! We designed the minigames to maintain player engagement as best as possible. Super glad to know it worked!
