Thank you! I'm trying to do more like this with Renpy. My next project is an RPG-VN hybrid also made with Renpy.

Glad to know you like it! If there is another Kaijujam this year we will be making a sequel!

Thank you for the comment!!! <3

The game has been on hiatus for a few years now. I can't promise there will be a continuation, sorry!

Thank you for playing! We thought it might've been interesting to mix a series of minigames into what's already a blend of RPG/Visual-Novel. Kudos to my friend Reim for somehow making all of it work in RMMV.

Good concept, but unfortunately, the tile flip at the start of levels tells exactly where the kaijus are so it spoils the fun. Despite that it's a fun game! Great play on the old minesweeper rules.

The composition of sounds and music used for this is amazingly well done, perfectly complimenting the story which itself is written extremely well. I'm most impressed by the immersive writing throughout the entire final sequence. It just feels so real, kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time! Great work!

I love the atmosphere! The low visibility and having to rely on audio cues are really cool features. I think the concept and game mechanics are really great! I'm a big fan of horror that doesn't rely on jumpscares.

Thank you for playing! I highly appreciate the compliments!

Thank you for playing! Happy to hear you loved it!

Thank you for that compliment, very honored to hear you think so! The ending is more of an in-joke, about games or franchises always having "sequel baits", and also being just a reference to classic tropes of Romeo-Juliet type of stories. Though maybe we'll continue the story in the next Kaijujam, given the opportunity!

Very cute! My funny blob grew bunny ears and turned into a giant snake. I love it overall.

Thank you for playing the game! I'm honored that the game could be a source of inspiration for you! The minigames and story segments were meant to both balance each other so that VN readers and people who don't like reading can enjoy the game. I'm very happy that both aspects are well received!

Thank you for playing and hosting the jam! The Tekken one is probably our favorite too. Originally it was supposed to be a rhythm game, but that was too hard so we did that instead.

I like the orbital laser beam. It's short but super fun!

Highscore of 9500, I love this game! The only suggestion I might have is to possibly add variation to enemy movement or attack pattern. I like that the two options for monsters give entirely different environment and enemy designs, but the behavior of the enemies are exactly the same.

The concept is interesting and I like the variation in areas, but it could benefit a lot with more polish. I love the hand-drawn sequence at the start and end!

I had the same screen issues as Nihilistas. Could it be a misinput in the viewport dimensions when making the gamepage? Cute game though, I like the visuals!

Thank you!! I'm glad you liked it! I wanted to keep at least one JRPG-style fight in the game that both RPG players and the average non-RPG players can enjoy. It was an opportunity to use that trope.

Thank you for playing! We designed the minigames to maintain player engagement as best as possible. Super glad to know it worked!

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it

A visual-novel about exploration of a foreign land, uncanny individuals and one's self.

In Sheep's Clothing is a Ren'Py Visual Novel set to follow the experiences of one Jaz, a person pulled out of reality and dropped into a barren alien world with none to call company but a not-so-human girl, demons and voices in his head.

The demo is up for download with about 15% of the final game! Despite that, I can promise 15-30 minutes of engaging, story-rich gameplay. Get it here on itch.io https://marck-ello.itch.io/in-sheeps-clothing

Please enjoy and upvote if you like it to help promote the game! I hope to make updates ASAP.

Hey!

If you're busy no worries! I'm also still working on my VN so I can't immediately jump into a new project at least until after the next week.  I haven't played the current version of La Fortresse du Kudourt yet but I'll definitely have a look soon. Contact my email at marckusello@gmail.com whenever you have the time!

Au fait, merci pour votre compliment, mais je crois votre connaissance de l'anglais est meilleur de mon français! XD

Cheers,

Marck E.

Hey! You have such a genuine reason to make this visual-novel. I'm amazed! If you're still working on your project, I may be able to help you with cartoon character sprites for free once I free up my schedule. I'm an artist hobbyist currently wanting to transition into professional, so I'm looking to gain experience and build a portfolio by working with people. I'm also working on visual-novels myself and working on another one sounds fun. Check out some art I've done in the past!

Il y a longtemps que j'ai appris un peu du français. Ce jeu est une excellente opportunité!

Cheers!
