Really cool game that kept me wanting to play!

Music is a little repetitive.

Really unique idea! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the games from the Kenney Jam, if you’d like to take a look. :)

One of the best games we played so far :) Great job :)

Wowsa - really creative gameplay concept here. Sometimes creativity can come at the cost of fun, but that was definitely not the case here. Awesome work!

Nice job! I liked the use of the RPG set and the custom lighting.

+ Brilliant fun
+ Split screen gameplay is a great mechanic
+ The risk vs reward on collecting the cursed bottles feels exactly right
+ The overall polish is REALLY good (apart from the green screen issue at the start)
+ Loved the "snake" mechanic too

- Initial green screen "bug" may put some people off
- The music became a bit repetitive
- Maybe a short tutorial might help players understand the bottle throw mechanic (though I realised pretty quickly...)

...Just went to play the game for a second time and got totally stuck on the green screen... no amount of pressing Enter would let me through, which is a real shame as its one of the few games in the jam that I wanted to play for a second time!

Thanks for your kind words and the great review. About the green screen I am very annoyed. Actually there would be the main menu and a little tutorial. In all other builds of the game you can see that, only the WebGL version doesn't show it. Unfortunately I did not have enough time to solve the problem during the jam.

If you want to play the fixed version again, you can do that here: https://roockie-games.itch.io/the-four-and-a-half-minute-curse-download

I totally will, when there's a Linux version available! ;)

Tried to play, but I just got a green screen after your logo splash. Tried pressing enter as you suggested, but didn't do anything :(

Hey! Thanks for your message. You must not click in the game window before you press enter. Alternatively you can download the fixed version here or play in your browser: https://roockie-games.itch.io/the-four-and-a-half-minute-curse-download

ahhhh, I definitely clicked the heck out of it! Just tried it again, without clicking (except for the play game) and I still had the same issue. Maybe it's just me!
