I loved the game. nice controls and the battle is actually really fun. From a point and after there were more pirates than cargo ships. It would be great if there was a damage indicator or maybe a repair drop or drops from the other pirates ship or an option to repair your ship back on your island. Overall you did great job.
Thanks - pirates spawn more frequently the more chests you have, the rate probably gets a little too high though. Good ideas with the other features too
Great music!!! and assets. Controls..., next to fix :)
Thanks, I was deliberately going for a floaty feel with the controls but I agree they should probably have been more responsive
really nice game and pretty good use of the assets!
Thanks!
yarrrrr avast ye prefabs!
i loved this one! tight 'ship-like' game controls for 48 hours for sure, and wow that music is a bop
Thanks very much - again, can't take ownership of the music, it's from Sid Meier's Pirates! It is a bop though
The game idea is so cool, this is really fun 😀
Thanks, pleased you enjoyed it!
I adore pirate games, and I found this good!
I have always complained that there aren't many pirate games out there, including both the big and small titles. I'm so glad that I've found this one in the jam submissions! The combat and the ship movement can be improved but they feel good enough at their current phase too. Sound effects are also good. I wish there was more to discover, but I'm still glad that I encountered this game!
Solid entry, good job!
Thanks very much! I was planning attackable islands as well but didn't have the time - need to scope smaller for shorter jams.
Straightforward but satisfying! I liked the sound effects, and I enjoyed the combat. Getting something scoped properly is always difficult -- good on you for delivering a playable game by the deadline!
Thank you!
