Very nice game and atmosphere!!! I am immersed in this game!
Very fun game with a cool story!
My only wish is that you didn't have to go through the dialogue every time you restarted
Great visuals and atmosphere! You added a lot to the game in a short time span! Like others are saying, make the text appear faster or skippable.
When I defeated the gate boss the text was stuck at "C", I think this is a bug.
Overall great entry!
Interesting game. I would suggest to make tapping "use" while the dialog typing to instantly type the whole text, because its typing much slower, than many reads. Other aspects are awesome.
Nice game, like the story :) would be nice to be able to skip text typing to read faster. Overal game look is very balanced. Great work :)
Really enjoyed this game! The story was compelling. As others have mentioned it became a bit repetitive as you can only skip at the end of the message. Having the dialogue play alongside would be better. All that said it was really fun!
Congrats on your first game jam! This is really good work.
The volume of dialogue really slows down the game, I would suggest trimming it down and letting the player move around and descend as it plays.
An interesting story, but I wasn't able to make it all the way through. There's a bit too much dialogue for the action game you've set up here. It took way too long to get into the game, and every sequence being interrupted with more story really detracts from the experience. Though, I was curious to see where it would go.
I would suggest maybe working the dialogue into the action somehow. Like thought bubbles around the player or something like that. In addition, the mechanics and gimmicks of the levels were introduced a bit too slow I think. It felt very same-y for the first two descents after my weapons were activated. Could have used more variety to keep the player from getting bored (and then turned off by the next dialogue sequence).
I think this has some potential but will need some design reworks to improve player retention.
Pretty nice but I feel like there was a little too much story compared to gameplay. I felt like the dialogue was mostly cliche, but the story was overall not bad. I really liked the presentation of the whole thing. Wish the last boss had a little more going on than just two simple, easy to dodge patterns though. Pretty good considering the time limit!
impressive for 2 days, felt nice to play
