I suppose it wasn't immediately obvious which planet was represented by the colour, as some are multicoloured. Perhaps an arrow indicator could help?

Thanks! The UI bugs with WebGL unfortunately as when you press ESC the menu should appear but also the mouse exits the game window. Tried to come up with fixes today but nothing has come to mind yet, other than changing the input key.

Thanks! The aim of the game is to salvage components from crashed satellites to repair your ship. Check the description on the itch page if you are still unsure.

Probably the best submission I've played so far. Unique, challenging and polished. Nothing else to say except well done!

Really beautiful submission, everything is very smooth. Personally, not a fan of these sorts of controls but they are well made. Quite hard to hit enemies but that made it nice and challenging!

Like the concept, but as has already been said, didnt seem like I was able to attack planets. Only feedback I was getting was a selection icon.

Nice work! UI seemed to not be correctly displaying (might need to select ScaleWithScreenSize on the canvas). However, mechanics and controls seemed to work smoothly. Really liked the death messages as well!

Honestly, not sure what to do. Controls don't seem to work properly. Perhaps state the objective in the description of the game?

I like the concept, but as already mentioned, the intro was quite long, however was engaging. I wasn't able to see which buttons to enter for the gate and despite successfully guessing a few I still crashed. I would suggest that the camera should also follow the ship, as several times I went off screen. However, still a fun submission!

ps. I ain't gonna sugarcoat it : ->-><-^^v->. :)

Super fun game! Controls are smooth and the art design is very good. Really nice submission!

can't believe Baldurs Gate 3 won GOTY when this exists

Very fun game! Quite challenging puzzles. Art is nice and controls feel good.

Very visually appealing game. Nice and relaxing. Controls are good and the objective is clear.

I like the concept, and although it's a simple game it feels well made. Some of the objectives weren't clear at times. The SFX design could be improved also, the explosion sound is quite loud!

Really like the art, and the music & sfx are really nice. Controls are good too.

Nice submission! I found the controls a bit challenging but I am also not used to platformers.

I've just replaced it with a version with new controls, please let me know if that's improved things!

Ah, I always get control inversion wrong. Let me quickly fix it and update a new version. The ESC issue isn't really something I can fix.

Please leave any feedback you have on the project below!

Really liked this project, well made. My only issue is that it's very easy to be punished if you angle your jump poorly. Maybe adding a guideline (like in those snooker games) or allowing the player to move in the air would be an improvement.

Hi, how do we submit a project late?

Thank you to everyone who voted on this project. I have posted a new build version with some improvements based on your feedback.

Really fun series of puzzles. The game is well polished, and the animations are very smooth. Nice job, 5 stars!

Thank you for your feedback!

Thanks for playing! I agree, in hindsight and with a lot of feedback the controls are quite poorly made. I've made some changes in a new build I'll upload after voting has ended.

thanks! Ive also fixed the inversion and added an option to invert in the settings.

Incredibly polished game. 5 stars, I thoroughly enjoyed this game and the level of work put in with all of the levels is unbelievable. Loved the unique mechanic allowing you to grow and shrink.

If this were published as a full game with a bit of narrative I would buy it on the spot. It's a unique concept and I think it would be a great platformer.

Thank you! Originally I was hoping for more interactable discoverable objects like broken rovers you could repair and use, but alas the time constraint.

Fun to drive around exploring!

I found the controls a little jerky, maybe using a car controller tutorial instead of a character controller would be a better choice in future, but they are a lot harder so I understand why you went with the latter!

Visuals were nice, however I think you could change the camera's near clip plane to prevent the weird effect when buildings are loaded in and cut off.

All in all good submission!

Probably the most polished game I have seen on here. Impossible to fault, 5 stars.

If you were to continue working on this, it would be nice to perhaps read logs from the space stations with a bit of story about how the previous ships died (or vanished?). Maybe even some combat with some space pirates or aliens.

Some way to replenish health would be good too, but probably not needed unless you're an idiot like me who doesn't check their oxygen and bumps into everything :)

I just have, nice submission!

Thank you! I'll do the same.

thank you! The camera twitching is due to a cinemachine bug in 2.8.9, but it is now fixed in a new build where I updated to a later version.

Okay, thanks! I've changed the axis and solved the jerkiness issue.

Thanks! I've added an invert option in a new build I'll upload once voting is over. Thanks for playing and rating!

Nice controls and a good remake of terraria. Some more gameplay would be nice.

UPDATE : Turns out there is a bug with Unity Cinemachine 2.8.9 when the camera becomes very jittery, which leads to a difficult camera controller. I've fixed it with a Cinemachine package upgrade in a build that I'll post once voting has ended, along with some QOL and performance updates.

Hi all!

Firstly congrats on completing your games!

Here's my submission if anyone wants to try it out https://itch.io/jam/kenney-jam-2023/rate/2183280.

Just try not to rage too much as it is quite challenging ;)
